Thank you, and have a good time uploading here! — --Hmdwgf 12:43, 27 January 2010 (UTC) |
Woah!
Slow down, stranger. You've been uploading lots of .jpgs lately. Since you're new here, i'll lay down the basics: upload .png files, not .jpgs or any other type of file. .pngs are a higher quality format. And images have to be categorized, and you do so by doing this: Category: so-and-so with 2 ['s and 2 ]'s on the corresponding sides. If you have any other questions, just ask one of the admins, such as Maverick Nate, he is in charge of the archives. Thanks! --Hmdwgf 12:43, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
- I hate to be annoying, but you really need to listen to me- please upload pics that are in the .png format, not .jpg or any other format. I sent you an e-mail with a legitimate website to convert files, unless you have other ways of doing so. I'm not an admin, so I can't give out warnings, but consider this your first warning. And if you don't listen to me, you can be blocked from the website by an admin. --Hmdwgf 12:50, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
Erhem
You have been blocked for uploading files with non-alphanumeric characters... see the top bar? It says "When uploading images, please be sure that the filenames contain alphanumeric (A-Z, a-z, 0-9) characters only!" The upload pages says "ONLY USE ALPHANUMERIC CHARACTERS, DASH, AND UNDERSCORE IN YOUR FILENAMES." Do you see that? This is causing us problems if you don't, so you're blocked for a week. This also includes ignoring the warnings by Hmdwgf... ht14 13:54, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
- I must say Ht14, that was quite harsh for a user who has only been a member for a couple of hours... but whatever. If that wasn't clear enough, don't upload files with names that have any sort of puncuation in it. See you in a week. --Hmdwgf 14:38, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
Renzo, you better be thankful I was able to shorten your block for you. But this is the only time I will do it- and if you keep breaking the rules and uploading files like that next time, the block will be longer, and longer, until eventually, if you keep breaking the rules and ignoring warnings (especially from admins) you'll be blocked permanently from the entire Bulbagarden website. You wouldn't want that, now would you? Keep that in mind. --Hmdwgf 06:46, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
Zoroark
We already have one. It's here. If you wish to make any modification on the image, just upload a newer version. Thanks, Kevzo8 09:45, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, the image I uploaded is yours; I just updated the image with your uploaded one. Instead of making new file, you just have to upload a newer version of the same file. :) And oh, sign your name with four tildes (Kevzo8 12:34, 11 February 2010 (UTC)). Thanks! Kevzo8 12:34, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
Images
- CATEGORIZE!!!
- Get your artists straight. Ken Sugimori did not draw some of those.
- Check for duplicates. Heatran was already uploaded.
- Name correctly. That Rayquaza should have been named "File:Ranger Rayquaza.png".
- Where were those Mew and Lugia from? I've never seen them before and believe them to be fanart. Don't upload fanart as official.--immewnitythemew 20:59, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
Hey
Where did you get your recent images of the Mew and Lugia? We'd like to know so that we can categorize them correctly. MaverickNate 14:01, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
Recent Edits !!!
Hey Renzo, can you explain your recent uploads? I mean you uploaded a lot of Dawn's pics that weren't actually needed. I mean we already have Dawn's contest images in HD, so we don't need images in SD. Is there any other purpose or can you explain why are you uploading those images (just asking)? Thank you. --♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 17:26, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, so that was the purpose (I really didn't know that). I think its cool if you are uploading those to show dawn's different varities that she did with her contest outfits. No, they are not taking much space, I just wanted to know the reason because we should upload images on archives which are needed. Btw I didn't wanted to offend you or your work (that was totally to the point and I asked for the sake of this site. So, please don't think that I was being rude or something like that_. Thank you. ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 13:12, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
Generation V screenshots
Hi there. If you upload the next batch of gen V screenshots please ensure they are categorised in Category:Early Pokémon Black and White images. Thanks. —darklordtrom 11:18, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
Regarding your screenshots of Flareon
Where'd you get them from? If they're from Serebii, that's not allowed. We like our own images, and Serebii likes his. Either upload new ones of your own taking or they'll be replaced. ht14 21:11, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
Hi
Please read the checklist when you upload media files, and be sure to tag and categorize all images. If you're confused about the requirements for uploading files, have a look at this guide. --ht14 20:19, 30 April 2010 (UTC)

Delete tag
When you're using the {{delete}} tag, please also leave a reason as to why it should be deleted. This can be done by adding: {{delete|insert reason here}}. Thank you. JelloTalk 17:34, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you, one more thing, could you also leave in the name of the file it is replaced by? (It's helpful to the admins) JelloTalk 17:51, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
About jpgs
Converting jpgs to pngs isn't preferred...especially if the jpg is of horrible quality. Try to actually find art that isn't reduced in quality because of the jpg. JelloTalk 05:58, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
Edit warring
Edit warring is not tolerated here. You have been blocked for 2 days. The policy on Bulbapedia is that everyone who participates in said edit war gets blocked for the number of reverts they made, minus the initial revert. The image Patty uploaded was bigger than the previous versions on both files, I do not understand why you had to edit war with him. Please bring any future issues up with an Administrator instead of participating in an edit war next time. Thanks —♥ Jellotalk 04:01, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
- I apologize for the misunderstanding, you weren't participating in the edit war. Disregard my previous message. —♥ Jellotalk 05:08, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
Two questions
- 1) Where are you getting those high-res art from MD?
- 2) Speaking of those, they're over the 1k limit.

About your recent edit...
This file wasn't showing up on Bulbapedia at all since it was renamed. Why remove the deletion tag? <:(
~~LDEJRuff~~(see what I have contributed) December 31, 2010, 12:51 (EDT)
- If I may Renzo~, the reason they don't show up right away is because Archives and BP's servers are different, as such, they may not link up at times and show the blank image you see. There is nothing wrong with the image on either side, the servers just haven't linked up to show it. Usually a good hard refresh or dry edit should make the image show up. --P S Yライダー☮ 18:13, 31 December 2010 (UTC)
- Just for the future reference, there won't be server syncing problem if the file is moved/uploaded first and then it's renamed on bulbapedia, it'll easily show up. Btw as Psy said, server sync takes time and it even take multiple days to sync perfectly. So, you just have to wait for it to be fixed. ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 18:30, 31 December 2010 (UTC)
Renaming
I noticed that you put the delete template here reasoning "wrong spelling". There's a better solution, just put the move template on the image and give the correct name in the reason like this: {{move|Pikachu the Movie 4 poster.png}} on the file which is to be renamed. I hope you're getting my point. ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 17:25, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
*Curious Ady*
Hey Ren, may I know where did you get such awesome screenshots so soon? I'm just curious, I won't mind if you don't want to tell though :) ♫♪エイディニズ♪♫ 12:45, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
Book covers
Are you sure that you can upload anime book covers as jpgs? Pattyman 03:59, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
- I'm not sure, I just assumed they can be because some of them are uploaded by administrators and I just wanted to upload larger versions. They may considered as scans too, w/c have to be jpg. --Renzo493 4:40 April 5, 2011 (UTC)
Move templates
Please fill the parameters in a proper way, unlike this one which is kind of unprofessional. Kindly take care of it next time, thanks. ♫♪エイディニズ♪♫ 16:36, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
- You gave a warning to the wrong user, I was the one that added that move template. XVuvuzela2010X 17:39, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
Bonee
Hello, Renzo493!
I see that you uploaded some images from the HGSS chapter of Pokémon Adventures. I ripped this one from a Youtube video, so the quality wasn't good. Ataro tried to help, but now it looks even worse, hehe. Do you have by any chance tht frame with Crystal's Cubone? It can be smaller, it's okay. |) u |( e 20:46, 24 December 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry, I don't have a better quality version for that picture, but Merry Christmas though, hehe. --Renzo493 22:15, 24 December 2011 (UTC)
MayWailmerPail.png
You uploaded this image about two years ago; would you happen to know the source for it? It's categorized as Sugimori art, but it doesn't look like the artwork of any official artist for the franchise, let alone Sugimori. 梅子❀✿ 19:31, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry, but I can't remember. It came from a site that has a collection of KS artworks that were collected by its members. Some of them are really KS artworks while some aren't but still official artworks used for the games. Please forgive me for categorizing it as a Sugimori art w/o comfirming it. --Renzo493 05:48, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
RS Steven artwork
The artwork of Steven from Ruby and Sapphire looks like he is missing an arm (on the left). Can you clarify that? Pattyman 22:28, 17 May 2012 (UTC)
- Excuse me, but what missing arm? That's how it really looks like. --Renzo493 1:07, May 18, 2012 (UTC)
