The Bulbagarden Archives is an integral part of the Bulbawiki system. It hosts the sprites, screenshots, scans and animations used on {{bp|Main Page|Bulbapedia}}, {{bn|Front page|Bulbanews}}, and Bulbagarden's other projects. Ideally, all images used on Bulbawiki will be stored on the Archives. We do not seek to store every Pokémon-related image on the internet, merely those relevant to the encyclopedia and news services that Bulbagarden provides.

=What is Bulbagarden Archives?=
Bulbagarden Archives is an integral part of the Bulbawiki system, designed to handle all non-text files, as a repository for pictures. All pictures to be used on Bulbapedia and other Bulbawiki services will be, if possible, hosted on the Archives.

Due to a recent fiasco regarding the size of images, the rule on resolution size is being reinstated. This is because some users have started uploading images based on how large they are instead of the quality of the image, as well as a complete overall ignorance to the legality of high resolution. Unlike before, the resolution size cap will be dependent upon the media. However, very few images (for example, maps of in-game locations) will be allowed above 1,280 pixels. High resolution for Pokémon artwork will not be allowed above 1000 pixels. Further limits are still being decided upon; however, uploading above such limits will result in a block.

Welcome to the Bulbagarden Archives!

The Bulbagarden Archives is an integral part of the Bulbawiki system. It hosts the sprites, screenshots, scans and animations used on Bulbapedia, Bulbanews, and Bulbagarden's other projects. Ideally, all images used on Bulbawiki will be stored on the Archives. We do not seek to store every Pokémon-related image on the internet, merely those relevant to the encyclopedia and news services that Bulbagarden provides.

We have 244,700 uploaded files.

If you have any questions, first see the FAQ page. If this doesn't help, find an active administrator.

What's new on the Archives?
  • The Bulbagarden Archives Cleanup is ongoing. If you'd like to help out, begin by helping to check things off of our to-do list. If you have an idea to help, or would like guidance, the administrators are happy to help.
  • We have a new FAQ and upload form. Please read over these before you upload any images. Hopefully, these will help resolve any problems you encounter.
Uploading rules

An outline of some important rules, before you start to upload:

  • Remember to categorize and license your images appropriately.
  • Provide an appropriate summary of the image. What is it from, what is happening?
  • Do not upload excessively large images (generally 1280x1280 is the maximum size).
  • Personal images are limited to two per user.
  • All uploaded files should be used on either Bulbapedia or Bulbanews. If an image is unused, it may be deleted.
