Welcome

Bulbagarden Archives logo.png
Welcome to the Bulbagarden Archives, Bluesun!

As a new user, you may wish to learn a few things that will be useful in your uploading:

The Manual of Style, or MoS, outlines the format and guidelines of all images on Bulbagarden Archives.

All of our administrators are here to help! Talk to them if you have any questions or problems with the Archives.

Tagging images with correct licenses and categories is a must. These guidelines will help you learn more about tagging images.

Miscellaneous
  • Please read the checklist when you upload media files. The checklist is there to make sure you are doing everything necessary when uploading said media files.
  • Be sure to tag and categorize all images. This helps organize the vast amount of images we have here.
  • Check if your image already exists by searching through categories, and Bulbapedia pages. This action will help prevent unnecessary duplicates from appearing.
  • When adding a licensing tag to anime or game screenshots, please avoid just choosing "Screenshot". This is not descriptive and places the images in the wrong category. Make sure to choose "Screenshot from a Pokémon game," or "Screenshot from the Pokémon anime." This will put them in the right categories, and help keep the Archives clean.
  • Does your image have a purpose? Will you be using it on a Bulbagarden Project? Avoid uploading images because you think they are "Cute" or "Awesome". That clutters the Archives.
  • Personal images are limited to two for each User. Personal images include personal logos, personal trainer sprites, drawings, trainer cards and mostly any image that would only be used in the User: namespace and have no encyclopedic value to Bulbagarden and its affiliates. Please tag these with the {{i-Personal}} template for easier organization. Under no circumstance should a photograph of one's self ever be uploaded onto Bulbagarden Archives.
  • In addition, please upload images with meaningful names. Names that are just numbers, for example, do not describe anything about the image, and can make it difficult for searchers. Names are just as important as licenses and categories, so make them descriptive. Please be sure that the filenames contain alphanumeric characters only.
  • Due to the many automated templates used on the wiki, lowercase extensions are imperative. That means jpg and png instead of JPG and PNG. It looks cleaner, it works better, and it does not cause any problems. Make sure to always use lowercase extensions.
  • If you're confused about the requirements for uploading files, have a look at this guide.
Thank you, and have a good time uploading here!

Hey

Would you mind uploading the Dream World artwork in .png instead? SVG doesn't display here properly for some reason. Also, if you could add the proper licensing in the summary box, that would be great:
==Licensing:==
{{i-Fairuse-game}} Thanks. Jellotalk 18:09, 17 October 2010 (UTC)

Thanks! Would you mind uploading the rest of the artwork? (particularily for Gen V Pokémon first, if possible) Jellotalk 19:36, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
Sure, I can I think, but not all Gen V Pokemon have an image yet though. Sorry about the svg issues, seeing as they were originally vector files I thought svg would be better, but it looks like it doesn't work. Bluesun 19:49, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
Gen V done, almost. Remaining are currently: Baokkie, Waruvile, Marakacchi, Iwapalace, Pururiru Blue, Bachule, Zekrom. Oh and Mogurew that keeps going missing. Bluesun 06:10, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
All done except Zekrom. Bluesun 23:40, 18 October 2010 (UTC)

Upload Requests

Can you upload the Dream World images for Reshiram and Zekrom first? That way we could use it for the Dream World template and other stuff... thanks in advance. If they don't exist, Victini would do I guess... ht14 22:08, 17 October 2010 (UTC)

Done. Zekrom's foot is cut off though. Bluesun 22:15, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
Just seen the template. Wouldn't they be better reversed so they face each other? Though it's just a style issue I guess... Bluesun 22:18, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
Is gigaiath's image ditto because it doesn't exist? It would be preferred if you just skip it if this is the case. MaverickNate 22:35, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
Whoops. Nope, it's because Ditto's filename was ehedbhb and Gigaiath was ehedcged and I confused them. Bluesun 22:38, 17 October 2010 (UTC)

What filenames should I use for different Form/es?

Bluesun 23:12, 17 October 2010 (UTC)

There respective pages should give you an idea of what to name the different formes. Generally, just stick to the English name. Jellotalk 23:30, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
Sure, though what I meant, was more which filename, like... '479AHeat Rotom Dream.png' '479BWash Rotom Dream.png' '479BRotom Dream.png' '479RotomA Dream.png' '386Deoxys Attack Forme Dream.png' '386BAttack Forme Deoxys Dream.png' '386BDeoxys Dream.png' '493Arceus Dream Psychic.png' ...or what? Bluesun 00:11, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
No-one replied, so I decided '[No.][Name] [Form[space]]Dream.png' and have uploaded as such. Bluesun 06:10, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
Oh also File:529Mogurew_Dream.png keeps going missing, I've uploaded it twice already. Bluesun 00:13, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
Upload it at a different name, and I'll try moving it to the correct location. Just don't capitalize dream or something. Also, as long as the names for form things are consistent, then there shouldn't be a problem. MaverickNate 13:41, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
Alright, I uploaded it at Temp_Mogurew.png. Bluesun 23:40, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
All of Kanto and Johto is now up too, although one file had issues, Unown_?_Dream.png the upload page said already existed, so I saved it as Unown_28_Dream.png. Bluesun 05:15, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
All done! Bluesun 14:11, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

What next?

So, now that all the Pokemon that are on the Dream World site are uploaded, what next? Should I upload any of items, berries or berry trees? Or none? Bluesun 14:38, 26 October 2010 (UTC)

Items, berries, and trees sound good. Thanks for all your hard work! Jellotalk 15:58, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, sounds good, and it'll be great to have better resolution images for berries. By the way, we can count on you when they update the DW and add the remaining Isshu Pokemon, right? (well, if they do, but it'd be a waste to make you unable to send the late game Pokes)... Great job! Eriorguez 20:32, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
Okay. I've started uploading items, hopefully the name scheme is alright, I copied it from the main item images but changed 'Bag' to 'Dream'... and yeah, whenever they're on the server I'll upload them. I think they plan to; we have art for stuff like Rigray which can't even be sent to the Dream World yet. If there's anything wrong with the naming or description let me know soonish if you could, easier to change say, 43 items than 337. Bluesun 01:55, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for that. I've gone ahead and added extra stuff to the template for non-Pokémon. {{dwart|Status ailment healing item#Full Heal|Full Heal|BW|yes}} for items, berries, and Poké Balls. Berries need the Category:Berries category, Poké Balls: Category:Poké Balls
For anything that's not the above, (characters, decorations, etc) you can use {{dwart|name|name|BW|other}} If I'm missing anything else, let me know. Jellotalk 03:29, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
isn't there artwork for the rest of the pokemon in the 5th gen such as :Dakkora, Dotekkotsu, Roobushin, Gamagaru, Gamegeroge, Blue Hihidaruma, Aaken, Archeos, Tesshido, Nattorei, The Ice-Cream Pokemon Family, The Electric Eel Family, Oobemu, Furiijio, Maggyo, Kojofu, Kojondo, Crimgan, Gobitto, Goruggo, Komatana, Kirikizan, Baruchai, Barujiina, Kuitaran, Aianto, Monozu, Jiheddo, Sazandora, Meraruba, Ulgamoth, Cobalon, Virizion, Terrakion, Tornelos, Voltolos, Landlos, Kyuremu, Kerudio, Meloetta (Forme 1), Meloetta (Forme 2) and Genosect :D :D :D please reply also, could you please tell me where you got the images from please ... Thanx :D :D :D- unsigned comment from Tails19950 (talkcontribs)
There isn't yet. Though whenever they add them to the Dream World site there will be. I expect Dharma Mode Hihidaruma won't get art though, since the main list doesn't define it as a Pokemon with form/es. Similarly Keldio, Meloetta and Genesect will probably get ignored similarly to Darkrai, Shaymin and Arceus until they're officially revealed, the last Pokemon listed as existing on the site is Kyurem. Also, they're all extracted from the Dream World flash site, like it says on just about every image... Bluesun 15:04, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
Ok thanx for replying, it was very helpful, could you pleasesend me a link to the website where you got the artwork from ???? Thanx :D :D :D- unsigned comment from Tails19950 (talkcontribs)
Alright. It's here. Bluesun 01:57, 29 October 2010 (UTC)

Sega Pico boxes

Where are you getting the clear ones from? It looks like they're from Amazon, but I can't find them.--immewnitythemew 14:01, 20 December 2010 (UTC)

Aha! Found them!--immewnitythemew 14:13, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
They are. I got Amazon to convert them to .png. Though it's a pity the original Pico ones aren't on Amazon too... Bluesun 18:01, 20 December 2010 (UTC)

Dream World art

(just saw your post on my resources talk) I'd love to see the URLs! I've been trying to find them, but having no game makes that a little problematic... :D--immewnitythemew 22:51, 23 December 2010 (UTC)

Alright, replied over on that page. Bluesun 00:33, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
