::Oh, definitely not.  It would be more like "201S s" if anything.  And since the alternate-coloration "s" descriptor is always in lowercase, while {{tt|most|I'm looking at you, closed-bud Cherrim, and your lowercase-B denotation!}} one-letter form denotations are in capitals...--[[User:Shiningpikablu252|Shiningpikablu252]] 04:51, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

Revision as of 04:51, 28 November 2009

Make sure that each image you upload has lowercase extensions. Also put categories on the pages please. Maverick Nate 03:13, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Unown

..(Serebii)? Are those images taken from Serebii.net? Kevzo8 06:05, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

Yeah. Done via Microsoft FrontPage... Ht14 12:37, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
Did you ask for permission? We could get in trouble with Serebii for taking their screenshots from them without permission. Kevzo8 14:33, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
...good point...I'll stop for now...what should I do though? Regarding asking Serebii I mean... ht14 14:36, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
Uh, that's a problem. It's either you take the screenshots by yourself or ask Serebii about it then give credits to his site. Kevzo8 14:55, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
I'll do the latter...only...I dunno how to reach him... ht14 14:56, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
He's always lurking on Serebii.net forums. He seems to be a nice person though. Kevzo8 15:03, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
Ok...or I'll email him... ht14 15:04, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
He said it's fine. ht14 16:02, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
Credit them correctly though: for example, look at "File:Falkner.PNG". Maverick Nate 21:41, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

Gamesprite

Get rid of the old template and license properly with {{i-Fairuse-game-sprite}}. Otherwise it's categorized wrong. Don't forget section headers for licence and summary. —darklordtrom 04:58, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

K. ht14 04:59, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

Moving

Can't move jpg files to png filenames. —darklordtrom 02:47, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

True... how about jpg to jpg? As in <whatever the user called it>.jpg to Spinner_gen_4.jpg? ht14 02:49, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
In case you didn't know, jpg images cannot be made transparent... unfortunately... —darklordtrom 07:49, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
That's unfortunate... ht14 21:05, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Style

Follow it. MaverickNate 21:01, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

The summary is simply the article's name, and there are never spaces in between licensing and categories. MaverickNate 21:02, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
Uh oh... I've always been doing that for practically EVERY single image edit... ht14 21:03, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
I'm talking about the spacing. This means game images. ht14 21:05, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
Just start doing it from now on. It doesn't really matter. MaverickNate 22:02, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
Ok then. ht14 23:15, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
Question: should I revert all from the TCG expansion I'm doing right now or just leave it? ht14 23:19, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
The spaces are fine. On the other hand EX Legend Maker has less than 100 cards, so all the categoriews should only have 2 digits. Fix all that you changed. MaverickNate 17:13, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
All right. ht14 22:03, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

Congratulations

You've been an immense help here. Sorry that I can't be online here as often as I'd like. You deserve this. First thing though, when you move pages, delink the redirect, and delete it. MaverickNate 23:32, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Thanks. Understood. ht14 23:33, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Better idea

Why not just "Z4.png"? CuboneKing 20:59, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

I'm not sure. One, PNG to png is actually a minor thing (though highly recommended). So, technically, I didn't need to move it unless a change to something other than the title is needed. Two, some say sprite, some don't. But for the sake of everything, I guess I'll move that too. ht14 21:02, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

Crystal images

Sorry I have no idea how :D Speaking of which, some kind of bulk uploader would be brilliant, I was being really OCD at the time and spent three hours uploading those, one by one. --Cadellin 09:34, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

It's ok. ht14 23:30, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

Remember what Magnedeth told you?

Don't do that here. That isn't the style for here. Don't put the spaces on the image pages. MaverickNate 02:36, 20 November 2009 (UTC)

? Spacing? Oh that. You said it didn't matter... unless you're talking about un-cat related... ht14 02:37, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
It doesn't really matter, but if you are going to be editing the page anyway, I prefer that it is my style: especially on card pages MaverickNate 02:48, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
I am still very much confused... ht14 02:50, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
That meant quit putting it in. But, if it is already done, don't go editing pages just to remove/add spaces. Just don't have the spaces for anything else you ever edit MaverickNate 02:54, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
You mean between the summary and licensing, right? I thought that's what DETH told me to do... argh... ht14 02:56, 20 November 2009 (UTC)

When you are adding the summaries and stuff

Don't forget about {{unused}}. You have to add that into the summary when the image isn't used on the wiki. MaverickNate 19:04, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

K. ht14 19:04, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
The images still need summaries. MaverickNate 19:07, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
All... got it. ht14 19:08, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
Gasp is right: you forgot the unused. MaverickNate 19:17, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
Don't make me head-desk again! MaverickNate 22:04, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
That means a lot of Template:unused pictures since there are a set of screenshots from movie 8, etc. I understand though. ht14 22:06, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
Ninety-nine percert of the screenshots by episode will be deleted. You should be skipping over those since they will be deleted by the turn of the decade. MaverickNate 22:10, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
Ok, so you're telling me this for an image that will probably be deleted... ok then... I'll handle the non-anime sprites then, or those that don't have EP/AP/DP in the name, etc. ht14 22:11, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

Category:Characters of the day

It lumps together all the recurring characters too. For the sake of organization, everyone is considered a CotD. MaverickNate 13:44, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

Ok... then the category is a misnomer... can't we name it as Anime characters? ht14 13:44, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
Go ahead: you have 460 images to go, starting...NOW! MaverickNate 13:47, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
Ok, that's fine. Actually... I don't know if you're sarcastic. 460 isn't too bad... btw, your delete just explained that those CotDs with pics showing them younger mean that there are 2 pics of them. ht14 13:48, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

Wanna know a secret?

The sprite standard does not have the hyphen in it. MaverickNate 18:58, 27 November 2009 (UTC)

What about the letters? Unless you're talking about current sprite. If not, what about Unown-S? Are we going to label it as 201 s s?ht14 20:24, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
Oh, definitely not. It would be more like "201S s" if anything. And since the alternate-coloration "s" descriptor is always in lowercase, while most one-letter form denotations are in capitals...--Shiningpikablu252 04:51, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
