--A big thank you to TTE

Please make sure all extensions on anything you upload are lowercase. Also, {{cat}} must be subst'd. Maverick Nate 03:49, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

Welcoming users

It's different here at the Archives than at BP. We only welcome users after they contribute. ht14 00:05, 16 April 2010 (UTC)

Quit requesting a move. It's animated and switches between the two forms. As UltimateSephiroth said, if you can't see it, change your browser (if you can't, I'd assume that it's IE). --SnorlaxMonster 08:33, 26 April 2010 (UTC)

Those Forme redirects....

Please stop making unnecessary redirects for non-existent forms. There is no point at all creating redirects for them, nobody is ever going to use them. --Psyライダー 03:32, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

Hey

Thanks for adding a summary template to the menusprites but if you're going to do it, might as well add the proper licensing and formatting as well.
==Summary==
{{menusprite|001|Bulbasaur}}
==Licensing:==
{{i-Fairuse-sprite-game}}
Hope that helps. --JelloTalk 00:54, 26 May 2010 (UTC)

Regarding template

Template:i-Fairuse-sprite-game; Template:i-Fairuse-sprite-game-alt... what's the difference? ht14 03:31, 4 July 2010 (UTC)

I do not know. Could it be that you were trying to ask Nate?--MisterE13 19:18, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
I'm asking because you're using the latter... ht14 19:44, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
Because that's what the templates had originally. I had never noticed it was the exact same thing...--MisterE13 19:46, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
Since they appear to be exactly the same perhaps we should get the Maverick's permission to kill off the alt one.--MisterE13 19:57, 4 July 2010 (UTC)

Regarding your "system"

You know there's "What links here," right? I didn't even use that method... it takes too much time... do you want to do this again... with MDP? o.o ht14 22:11, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Wouldn't necessarily mind, I just got my wisdom teeth out so I've got some time to kill. lol I use What links here but only when I'm cleaning out a category.--MisterE13 22:13, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
The purple links... unless you're using Apple... but still... well, back to MDP... do you want to? ht14 22:15, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Um

Regarding your requests to move some of the Pokémon art...well, they're not "official". As in, they're not used anywhere on Bulbapedia, nor should they moved to those names you're suggesting. Official art is usually at ###Name.png with an addition of different form names if needed. Not sure how to explain this right now, but I'll try to get back to you on this. JelloTalk 08:21, 18 July 2010 (UTC)

Trust me, I know how we operate when it comes to alternate Formes. I noticed that we still had such composite images (summary template and all) for Burmy and Wormadam among others and figured it might be good to categorize the others accordingly in case they ever were used. In my personal opinion, I'd say they should be held on to but you guys are the admins... P.S. don't worry, I think we live in similar timezones and I understand you must have been quite tired. Come to think of it, I hope my response will make sense to me tomorrow morning :D.--MisterE13 09:01, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
I'm not saying they should be deleted, since they could come in handy one day. But if they have more than one forme of the Pokémon in the art, then they couldn't possibly be used in the infoboxes for Bulbapedia. I don't think they should have the summary template for official art either. I think something like this should be used in the summary instead, so it doesn't get mixed up with the "official" art. If you have any other suggestions, let me know. Thanks. JelloTalk 19:03, 18 July 2010 (UTC)

Hey

I'm kinda working on them right now. Just be patient, ok? I'm currently relinking and stuff. I have it under control... ht14 00:13, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

K, sorry dude.--MisterE13 00:14, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
It's fine, need a chill pill too... -_- ht14 00:16, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
Meh no biggie need help with anything?--MisterE13 00:30, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
Not really atm, though if you find other redirects other than the ones I'm working on, that'd be great. Or just cat, whatever floats your boat. ht14 00:34, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

Redirecting

Can you redirect ones for non-shiny ones? There are a few platinum sprites which need to be redirected from HGSS sprites.—★Pika3323 01:54, 10 April 2011 (UTC)

Well considering I'm working based on the non-shiny sprites that currently redirect... that might be a problem.--MisterE13 03:53, 10 April 2011 (UTC)
Do you check the sprites VERY closely? I checked them while uploading and know their different, also there's something called the duplicate file detector, nothing showed up. (Until today, some bum made an error =P)—★Pika3323 00:22, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
I figured that if the male sprite hadn't changed between games the female wouldn't have either. Also Gloom just looked suspiciously high up in the frame which would have gotten passed the duplicate detector. I was also wondering did any HGSS sprites reuse DP sprites if those had been changed in Pt? I've been assuming not so far.--MisterE13 00:25, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
Those types of changes happen, Raichu is an example.—★Pika3323 00:30, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
Really? I can't see any differences on Veekun if I did make a mistake on that though, it's a rarity.--MisterE13 00:36, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
Use a photo editing program, zoom in, switch images rapidly and the differences (usually) pop out.—★Pika3323 00:39, 13 April 2011 (UTC)

Congrats

Now don't be a drag, just be a queen. I'm sure you'll do great things here. Welcome to the team. 8D --P S Yライダー 16:10, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

Thanks everyone :D--MisterE13 17:07, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

Animating the XD normal and shiny box sprites

The box sprites from Pokemon XD should probably be animated ones (like they are here), but should they be .png or .gif? This is the first time I've had to deal with animated images as my browser does not normaly dispay them (I'm using Firefox now, which seems to help). We only have about seven XD box sprites right now, so it wouldnt be much bother moving them to .gif if needed. Vuvuzela2010 11:35, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

I've been trying to figure out where those animations come from actually since I just checked XD and the PC boxes don't use animated sprites.--MisterE13 20:11, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
They begin to animate when they are placed in the purification chamber to help purify Shadow Pokemon (The Shadow Pokemon itself remains unanimated though). Vuvuzela2010 21:59, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

What were you trying to do here? --SnorlaxMonster 03:08, 28 October 2011 (UTC)

Screenshots

Hi. I noticed that the move Withdraw was missing an image for Gen 3. I took a sreenshot of it, but I saw that most images for moves say "animated". My image isn't animated. Can I still upload or does it really have to be an animated image? Metalizard 16:39, 19 January 2012 (UTC)

As long as it's a high quality image that shows the most visual part of the animation, it should make a fine image to put up until we can get an animated version.--MisterE13 20:41, 19 January 2012 (UTC)
