Welcome

Welcome to the Bulbagarden Archives, Relicant!

By creating your account you are now able to upload images to help Bulbapedia and Bulbanews. Before you jump in, take a look at these helpful tips:

  • Uploaded images must meet several requirements. Please see the upload form and/or manual of style before you upload a new image.
  • All images need categories and license tags. Save time and fill them out as you upload. There are many different licenses - be sure to pick the best fit.
  • Use meaningful filenames. Make them descriptive so that searchers can find your images easily.
  • Personal images are no longer allowed. Any personal images found will be deleted on sight.
  • If you don't have any images to submit, you can still help out.
  • If you have any more questions, see the FAQ or ask a staff member.
Thank you, and have a good time uploading here!

Attitude

Your attitude while editing comes off as extremely confrontational, which is not acceptable. While you are welcome to voice your opinions, you need to do so in a civil manner. Continued uncivil behaviour will result in your account being temporarily blocked. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 17:02, 29 July 2013 (UTC)

Can I be unblocked from main Bulbapedia? --Relicant (talk) 17:19, 29 July 2013 (UTC)

You will be unblocked from Bulbapedia when your block automatically expires, not a second sooner. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 17:21, 29 July 2013 (UTC)
I think a month long block just for jokingly using the hidetag function is a tad extreme. --Relicant (talk) 17:23, 29 July 2013 (UTC)
You were told multiple times to cease doing multiple things, you refused to comply & continued the behaviour. If you feel the block is unfair, you may appeal it by sending an e-mail to myself or Werdnae. No further discussion about your block will be permitted on the Bulbagarden Archives, this is not the place to appeal a Bulbapedia block. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 17:28, 29 July 2013 (UTC)

Illustrator categories

Please put a hold on this project. Something this significant needs staff approval to make sure any work done is as efficient and correct as possible before starting. Honestly, these categories shouldn't just be limited to cards, as these people have illustrated more than just the cards. Please stop adding these categories, because the names, at least, will definitely be changing, and we shouldn't have to go through every card again just to change the name of the category. Understood? MaverickNate 20:21, 5 August 2013 (UTC)

They've mainly illustrated for the card game, I know that some of them have also made various promotional materials for the franchise as well but it makes more sense to make categories for the cards they've illustrated since there is an equivalent set of categories on Bulbapedia. --sorry i'm dead -- Relicant 20:27, 5 August 2013 (UTC)

The Bulbapedia side only needs to distinguish the cards because there aren't pages for things like each individual booster pack, or the HGSS Ecruteak City promotional image. The Archives has many more open possibilities for images by illustrator categories, so we shouldn't limit the scope just because it needed to be limited on Bulbapedia. MaverickNate 20:46, 5 August 2013 (UTC)
Can't we put the promotional materials into a seperate category? If we put them in a category which mainly displays cards a particular artist has illustrated it will make the entire category look unorganized. --sorry i'm dead -- Relicant 22:29, 5 August 2013 (UTC)
The category wouldn't look unorganized. If anything, it would be more useful. Viewers searching for images illustrated by person wouldn't want them split. Additionally, it would be easy enough to see exactly which of the images were cards and which weren't if they only wanted to know which cards were illustrated. The only exception would possibly be Ken Sugimori, simply because he does so much of the official artwork otherwise.
Additionally, it is rather rude and inconsiderate of you to go behind a staff member's back when you were told, by the Head of TCG mind you, to stop an action related to cards. I have jurisdiction over TCG on all three Bulbapedia, Archives, and Bulbanews. Unbeknownst to you, I had already been talking to Kogoro, trying to decide the best course of action for this new category idea, and I had already told you much of the decision we landed on together. Your disrespect for Staff was what landed you a month block on Bulbapedia. You should try to learn your lesson and respect those who are more experienced and know what needs to happen here before you land yourself longer blocks. MaverickNate 16:04, 6 August 2013 (UTC)

So, instead of having a category called "Cards illustrated by X", make a "Illus. by X" category (except in the case of Sugimori)? Also if I'm disrespectful towards staff here, do I just get a longer block on Bulbapedia? Fine by me. --sorry i'm dead -- Relicant 16:54, 6 August 2013 (UTC)

You would be blocked here as well, for as long if not longer than your Bulbapedia block. MaverickNate 16:57, 6 August 2013 (UTC)
...and am I that bad of a person? Do I really deserve a 1 month ban for not doing anything wrong? --sorry i'm dead -- Relicant 21:11, 6 August 2013 (UTC)
We do not take being rude and disrespectful to other users, as well as staff, lightly. It is outlined in the Code of Conduct that we follow on Bulbanews, Bulbapedia, and here on the Archives. If you don't like to follow the rules we have in place here, you don't have to stay here, but as long as you are here, you should follow all the rules just like everyone else, and not pick and choose which ones you want to follow. MaverickNate 18:32, 7 August 2013 (UTC)

Have we figured out what we're going to do about this yet? --sorry i'm dead -- Relicant 10:08, 12 December 2013 (UTC)
