personal Images
Your image was taken down because personal images are no longer allowed on the archives. The user who removed it should have mentioned this in their edit summary. Vuvuzela2010 19:41, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
- Actually, the image was deleted because at the time it was only used in a nonconstructive edit to Fearow which was reverted. Adding fanfiction to Bulbapedia is not permitted. --SnorlaxMonster 07:10, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
Move screenshots
When uploading move screenshots, the image needs to not exceed the resolution of the handheld console's screen. With Pokémon Stadium/Pokémon Stadium 2, a couple of the images had misaligned lines around the Pokémon boxes and the native resolution limit is 640 x 480 pixels. ㄱ쉰 G50 07:01, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
- The 640x360 isn't available on the resolutions list for Project64. Also, It's best to use 720p for n64 games because it gives clear detail than 640x480. Let's just stick with 1280x720 instead. 1280x1280 is the resolution limit for uploads on the site.--Brandondorf9999 (talk) 07:56, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
- We use the native resolution for the games, nothing above and preferably nothing below. If you aren't able to get screenshots at the native 640×480 resolution for N64 games, I must ask you to not upload over existing screenshots of N64 titles. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 08:18, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
- I want to use 16:9, not standard. Instead, just resize them into 640x360 then.--Brandondorf9999 (talk) 08:28, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
- And I am telling you that 16:9 is not acceptable. The games are natively set at 4:3, and that is what the screenshots must be. Do not make additional work for others, please do it correctly yourself.- Kogoro - Talk to me - 08:30, 1 March 2014 (UTC)

Why are you modifying images to display how they don't actually appear
file:peck Stad.png Pikachu Bros. (talk) 16:00, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
The contrast and colors aren't correct in some games. The normal color that's like that tells us it should be edited unless the photo uses correct color and well appearence.--Brandondorf9999 (talk) 18:19, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
- But that's not how the things actually appear. I recommend you stop editing images to make them appear incorrectly as to how they actually appear. Pikachu Bros. (talk) 18:28, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
- Still, they are incorrect and that's not how they are supposed to appear. Also, no reverting please, they aren't supposed to be dark. Everyone has every right to edit photos in any site including this.--Brandondorf9999 (talk) 18:30, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
- I don't think you understand. For example, in the Sammy/Ash picture you "fixed", it was a night scene that you edited to appear day. Also, you shouldn't edit things such as the sunset to make it look like in the real world or whatnot, as that isn't how they actually made it. Thus, you are essentially uploading fan images. Pikachu Bros. (talk) 19:13, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
- I know how daytime and night works. It's just that the photo appearance of a sky at daytime is actually skyblue not dark and night is darker. I might think taking science classes for these may help you figure out the appearance and how those works especially for in-video frames. Plus, they are not fan-made images. Those are actually real screenshots. They just don't have correct color. The creators might have forgotten to enhance them.--Brandondorf9999 (talk) 19:18, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
- That's not how the creators made them, that's how YOU made them. They don't need to have "correct" colors in relation to the real world, they should have the colors of how the creators of the show actually made them. I'm not reverting back, only because I don't want to engage in an edit war. Pikachu Bros. (talk) 19:19, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
- Oh and one thing, certain old people are blind by the way. So they need to be corrected to resemble real world so that other people who can't see very well need to see it.--Brandondorf9999 (talk) 19:24, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
- That's a terrible argument. There's such a thing as corrective lenses (I myself wearing them). So what if they don't resemble real life? That's how they made them, and you're editing them to resemble a way that they don't appear whatsoever. Pikachu Bros. (talk) 19:37, 6 March 2014 (UTC)

Let's cut this argument off and just contribute to the wiki for a change and let the screenshots be edited.--Brandondorf9999 (talk) 19:46, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
- I'm with Pikachu Bros. on this one. Brandondorf, you are editing and enhancing the images, sometimes even making the lines thicker. If these are really the screenshots you get, then you need to either set your media player to default display settings, get a new one (VLC, MPC-HC, or MPC-BE all work fine) or stop altogether. Either way, these are not natural images from the anime and games. Yes, the anime's colors were dull and faded back in the day. Yes, some of your pictures look better, but it is still unnatural. No, Beedrill is not supposed to be yellow in Stadium, it is that orange color. It would be okay if you were the first person to upload a certain image, but in my case, you're uploading over the images I painstakingly made my version of MPC-BE to create as original as possible. Accuracy is the goal in the Archives, not cosmetics. --IWannaBeTheVeryBest 21:57, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
- I have a new VLC Media Player, and I use photoshop to enhance after I take a screenshot if they are dull or needing contrast enhancements. Also, some games beedrill is yellow. All bees have yellow and black stripes on their bodies.--Brandondorf9999 (talk) 22:05, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
- A little late, but that's beside the point. It doesn't matter if they are "inaccurate" to your standards, what you're uploading isn't correct and shouldn't be tolerated. It's not the correct image, and, again, the Archives are for accuracy to the actual thing, not for pictures that have been modified for aesthetics. Pikachu Bros. (talk) 15:38, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

Huge black bar
About the image of the Pinsir using Guillotine... there's a huge black bar at the bottom. I'm not on my computer right now, so can you please fix it? Pikachu Bros. (talk) 19:53, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
- Got that handled. It came in 640x502 instead of 640x480.--Brandondorf9999 (talk) 19:54, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
- You accidentally made the image one pixel too short, now :\ Sorry i have to pester you. Pikachu Bros. (talk) 19:55, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
999HP
That looks unnatural and rather weird. It'd be better if the Pokémon had HP they actually can have. Eridanus (talk) 15:16, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, I use cheats because I don't want my character to die so that I can be able to take snapshots of several moves of Pokemon. It's called "Infinite HP" gameshark code. Maybe you can find the cheats over at GameHacking.org (which is a place where cheat codes are) or there on Seaform Island where the N64 versions of Pokemon Stadium can be found in. and insert them into the cheats on the Project64 emulator and use them. The one's included in the .cht file does no effect on getting full HP when using that cheat.--Brandondorf9999 (talk) 15:52, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
- I would tend to agree with Eridanus. I would say that is not an appropriate screenshot for us to use on Bulbapedia. If you're going to use cheats just for convenience, at the very least it shouldn't look like you are. It just raises questions of validity where there shouldn't need to be any. Tiddlywinks (talk) 16:30, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
- It's needed for some games as it won't allow me to get past a certain stage when needed to reupload a screenshot for a blurry version with the best quality screenshot.--Brandondorf9999 (talk) 16:40, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
- That explains why some of the Pokémon are using moves that they cannot legally learn. Pattyman (talk) 17:03, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
- But they can do those moves like that with their anatomy appearance and shape just like Fearow can use horn drill by mimicking another Pokemon and using it with their beaks. So that would be mimic for that reference.--Brandondorf9999 (talk) 17:28, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
- As far as File:Guillotine Stad.png goes, at least, the original upload of that looks perfectly acceptable to me; they hardly look any different, as far as the move goes. And the File:Poison Sting Stadium.png that you uploaded, with Rapidash using that move is, IMO, entirely unacceptable. I can't honestly say that I'd immediately peg Fearow as being unable to use Horn Drill or Horn Attack, but if it can't learn them, those should not be acceptable images either. Tiddlywinks (talk) 19:08, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
- It's called using horns and beaks. Their beaks and horns can perform those moves. The mimic moves for those Pokemon can be performed in free battle.--Brandondorf9999 (talk) 19:47, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
- Horns, beaks, or whatever have absolutely nothing to do with Mimic... I don't know what "Coolish" is supposed to be in the Poison Sting screenshot, but if you're really facing an Electabuzz and a Magikarp in the Horn Drill/Attack screenshots, there's no way those moves were legally mimicked from them. You do know that you don't have to enter the Stadium Cup or the Gym Leader castle to get screenshots of the moves right? Just do a free battle and go from there. Also, please don't use a hack or a cheat were Pokémon cannot legitimately learn the move in Generation I. Granted I uploaded an image of an Alakazam using Lovely Kiss, but that was through metronome, not some cheat or hack. Also, do not change an image just for the sake of changing. The Guillotine image is fine and did not need to be changed, because like you said in one of your edit summaries, it doesn't really matter which Pokémon uses it. As long as the Pokémon in question can legitimately learn it or metronome'd it.--Force Fire (talk) 02:15, 8 March 2014 (UTC)
Image Edits
Images should retain their native appearances. Screenshots of any game should appear as they do when played on an actual console, they should not be given any resolution increases. Images of episodes that were recorded before the anime switched to digital media should appear as they do from their original media, unless an official remastered/cleaned release has occurred. Images that are too large or too small should not be scaled to the proper dimensions, they should be replaced with a properly taken screenshot. Many files you have uploaded are heavily modified through additional software, and that needs to stop immediately. This is not something that is up for discussion, and continued uploading of heavily modified images will result in your account being blocked from uploading. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 23:27, 8 March 2014 (UTC)
XD/Colo images
I noticed you have been uploading images from Pokémon XD lately. Images of each individual floor would be useful for layout sections (such as here). Could you get these screenshots? Lady Ariel (talk) 02:08, 9 March 2014 (UTC)
- Sure thing as soon as I upload the map for Phenac City based on Orre.--Brandondorf9999 (talk) 02:17, 9 March 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks that is appreciated. Also, any location with multiple floors or sections (such as Citadark Isle) would need a layout section. Lady Ariel (talk) 02:29, 9 March 2014 (UTC)
- I'm quite busy at some point focusing on something else. Later, I will continue to upload them for that article.--Brandondorf9999 (talk) 21:09, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
