== Card scans vs digital renders ==
I appreciate you going through the TCG images. For now, we are generally okay with hosting digital renders for Non Holofoil cards, as long as the render matches the physical print exactly. At this point, the 'scans over digital images' rule is only necessary for cards that are Holofoil in real life. You won't need to revert any non-holofoil cards going forward. Welcome

Welcome to the Bulbagarden Archives, Porygon-man!

By creating your account you are now able to upload images to help Bulbapedia and Bulbanews. Before you jump in, take a look at these helpful tips:

  • Uploaded images must meet several requirements. Please see the upload form and/or manual of style before you upload a new image.
  • All images need categories and license tags. Save time and fill them out as you upload. There are many different licenses - be sure to pick the best fit.
  • Use meaningful filenames. Make them descriptive so that searchers can find your images easily.
  • Personal images are no longer allowed. Any personal images found will be deleted on sight.
  • If you don't have any images to submit, you can still help out.
  • If you have any more questions, see the FAQ or ask a staff member.
Thank you, and have a good time uploading here!

Personal scans

Hi! I noticed you upload some card scans recently to replace some of our less desired images. That's great! I do have 2 requests that I hope you can fulfill with your scans going forward.

  • The scan quality on File:EnergyStadiumNeoDestiny99.jpg and File:CharizardDragonStorm3.jpg is a bit lower than we typically desire. The bottom text on Energy Stadium in particular is a bit difficult to make out accurately. I'm not confident what settings you are currently using, but I remember when I had that problem, I increased the DPI and the images started coming out in better quality.
  • If possible, please try and get a tighter crop on your scans. Some of the whitespace creates enough of a size difference to affect the final output of the images on mobile. We try to get it as close to the edges as possible while also still including the gaps at the corners.

If you have any questions, please get in touch! Thanks. MaverickNate 10:19, 3 March 2024 (UTC)
