Thank you, and have a good time uploading here! |
Fan art
I am sorry but the fan arts and personal images are not allowed on Archives, please do not upload them. ♫♪エイディニズ♪♫ 11:45, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
Categories
Please do not forget to put the categories onto new images you upload, as you upload them. If you want to know more about the requirements for uploading files, visit the FAQ section. If you have any other query regarding Archives, you may ask. Thank you, have a nice day. ♫♪エイディニズ♪♫ 18:00, 30 November 2011 (UTC)
Regarding your uploads and edits
Categories go below the licensings. If the location name is capitalized, so should the filename. So... Nidorina Laramie Ranch.png, not Nidorina laramie ranch.png. Finally, episode names are italicized. Thanks. ht14 04:22, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
- Actually, the images you uploaded... they are poor in quality compared to the ones already uploaded. So... I'm not sure what you're trying to do. ht14 04:26, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
Images not changing
When an image looks the same, purge the page by clicking the clock to the left of your name and then refresh. When you upload a new file, it changes but not always automatically. All you need to do is refresh the page until it changes. Ataro 00:23, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
Town maps
While I appreciate the hard work you did, it would be best if you avoid uploading the Town maps as pngs for the time being as those should actually stay as gifs. Don't worry about the ones that were uploaded as pngs. Pattyman 14:07, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
- So this means that we will have to remove the
{{gif}}
template from all the town maps so that they don't appear in this category? Pokégeek 15:02, 14 March 2012 (UTC)- Afraid so. However, the missing categories and some other stuff can be added. I added the template on there in the first place as I thought they needed to be saved as pngs, but I was then told that it wouldn't be necessary. Pattyman 18:52, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
Regarding the png replacements
It's great that you're uploading the png replacements for the gifs we currently have, however, is it possible for you to get your own image from external sources instead of print-screening it? I'd much rather actual uploads than a print screen because the pngs taken from the gif images are actually really bad-quality as a result. If possible, after uploading the png versions, insert the bad image template as well (say, if they're too small). Thanks. ht14 00:31, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
- No, i don't print screen the images. I convert gifs to pngs using a tool which is mentioned in to-do list . Pokégeek 13:06, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
- Haha, my apologies. By the way, you don't have to notify my talk page. Your talk page is on my Watchlist. Thanks again. ht14 14:55, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
- Oh, also, the png replacements are sometimes still too small compared to many other pics. So, it's still preferred that you put the bad image template up because of its small quality? I'm not sure. I'll let you be the judge of that. =) ht14 15:02, 16 March 2012 (UTC)

Look
I know you are trying to help, but please let me handle the DP191 errors since I wanted to do them in the first place. Thanks !----DJWolfy 15:21, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
Summary
Summary & categories can both go in the summary input of the upload form, and licensing has its own dropdown. Categories don't have to go under licensing. When uploading an entirely new file, it's better to put them in with the summary as well, as to save from having to go back and re-edit the file page. *.----DJWolfy 15:51, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
- There is no issue with Poke.geek moving the categories from summary to licensing when adding additional categories. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 15:55, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
