There is no reason to move the categories, that just wastes edits, and don't fight me on what things belong and what don't, I am currently the highest authority that is working on the archives, I know what to do more than you. Moldy orange 18:59, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

Quit wasting edits!

moving the categories from the summary to the end is USELESS!! they would still appear where-ever they are on the page, so stop forcing server stress by virtually doing nothing! Moldy orange 03:25, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

I'm only putting them at the end so they can be alphabetized. It's not useless, it's standard practice. Baby G 19:05, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
It is useless because no matter what order they are in or where they are on the page, they would still appear as the exact same in the categories. Do not do this again or you will suffer the consequences. Moldy orange 19:10, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
How is it useless to follow standard practice? Baby G 19:12, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
What standard practice? I can only find that you are going against standard practice by forcing another server crash. There is no reason to do it and I wish you would stop. Moldy orange 20:08, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
On all sites that use MediaWiki software, it's standard practice to alphabetize categories. Baby G 20:09, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
Zhen Lin said that we have our own set of rules and we don't have to follow everything other sites do. We are our own site with our own rules. Currently, you are breaking many of our rules; if you don't like our rules, which I have told you what they are and what to stop doing, you can leave to your other sites and never return! Moldy orange 21:26, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
Which rules am I breaking? Baby G 21:31, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
Edit warring, failure to comply with a sysop, etc..., and there is no statement under the Archives:Manual of style#Categories section in the MOS about alphabetical order. Do you know why? Because it is not an issue. Categories are categories, no matter where they are on the page; they work exactly the same and putting them in a different order only wastes time, because there is no benefit to what order they are in. I wish you would understand that and move on to do something that is actually beneficial, not useless. Moldy orange 22:23, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

It's more organized to alphabetize them. Baby G 00:32, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

There is no need to organize them, the point is to have them on there. They are organized by alphabetical order on the category page, where it actually does matter. It doesn't matter on the file page because it works the same way no matter how they are organized. But it is set up alphabetically on the category page. Moldy orange 00:43, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
That's not how I mean it. On Image:Whos That Pokemon Revealed.JPG, the categories looked like this before:

Categories: Pikachu | Anime screenshots

They now look like this:

Categories: Anime screenshots | Pikachu

Don't you agree that the latter is more organized? Baby G 14:36, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

No, they both equal each other. They are both the same and they work the same meaning they have no difference what-so-ever. Moldy orange 14:49, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
The latter is in alphabetical order, which, is more organized IMO. Baby G 14:53, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
As long as the categories are on there, there is no reason to change anything. Order does not matter. Once all the categories are on there, the file should never be edited again...EVER! Moldy orange 14:57, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
A picture is not able to have both Ash's Pikachu and Pikachu on the image because the Ash's Pikachu Category is categorized in the Pikachu category. Do not add "Category:Pikachu" to any file that already has "Category:Ash's Pikachu". Moldy orange 16:20, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

I'm sorry but...

Template:Delete already covers it and it brings attention to the image anyway, The duplicated files should be deleted , so Template:delete is the only one we need. Moldy orange 01:12, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

And it is the admins job to check if candidates for deletion are used in other places first, we don't need a lot of templates, because it spreads work out into too many places when it can be all be present in one specific place: Category:Candidates for deletion. Moldy orange 01:15, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
All right. I don't mind if you delete the template. Baby G 01:17, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

I don't really see the purpose behind it

the only time names matter are with sprites, I really don't see why we need a template like that. Moldy orange 20:03, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

But if you are willing to use it, I am willing to keep it. Moldy orange 20:09, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
Actually, it can also matter with images of moves. If an image is named for the Pokémon using the move rather than the move itself, that's a good reason to tag the image with the {{bad name}} tag. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 20:21, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
Plus, if the name matters to someone, they can just upload it under a different name and put the delete tag on the first one. So, putting the template on it justs spreads work into too many different places. Also, the unused duplicate should be the ne that is deleted, not the one that is being used on the move page, even if it does have 2 at the end. And no, the only time names matter are with sprites, that isn't my opinion, it is fact. Moldy orange 18:48, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Okay, but can you please answer my other question on your talk page? --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 18:51, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Actually, I answered it in an edit summary. They were not used on anything, had nothing to do with Pokémon, and were taken from Wikimedia, and there were too many to count as your personal images (limit 2). Moldy orange 18:57, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
They were used. On the warning templates I created on Bulbapedia. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 19:01, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Were doesn't cut it, TTE deleted them. Moldy orange 19:28, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

Categories

They do not go in alphabetical order! On the Archives, they go in order of importance. For example, the game screenshots of moves should go in the following order: Liscensing tag (ALWAYS goes first, no matter what type of image), Category:Moves (game), Active Pokémon (the one closest), and Defending Pokémon (the one against you). Also, capitalize the word Category and the first word in the category that is standard, even though it is only shown in the coding. Don't bother changing any old ones, just do this from now on. Moldy orange 19:42, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

3 questions:

  1. Why did you delete the correctly-named images instead of the ones with the un-needed "2" at the end?
  2. Why did you tell me not to change them when you changed them?
  3. Why do you frequently check my contributions so much? --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 20:31, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
1:The move pages used the ones with 2 at the end, so those were the ones that needed to be kept.
2:I don't remember changing anything, give me an example.
3:I have my reasons. Moldy orange 23:13, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
  1. But they're named better without the 2 at the end.
  2. When you moved the descriptions of the move images to the images with the 2s at the end, you re-arranged the categories.
  3. What are some of them? I don't appreciate stalkers. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 23:36, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
As I said before, there is no "Named better" when the only time names matter are with sprites. Some of the moves that I did were before I realized what needed to be done: because once the categories are on there, they shouldn't be changed again. And I hold grudges against the last person to insult me deeply, I felt that a comment of yours directed to me was unjust and I will not forgive you for it, so I scrutinize everything you do because I no longer trust anything you do. Moldy orange 00:15, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
Why would we need a "2" at the end of those images? And when did I insult you? --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 00:35, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

Don't quote me when you don't hae the full story

I said that that was the order when you add the categories, but after they are already on, don't touch them! Once they are on, the order doesn't matter, but when they are being put on, the order matters, get it? Moldy orange 01:44, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

If you actually bothered to look at all of my edit, you would see that I did more than just move the categories. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 01:46, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
I did look at all your edit and found that everything you did on that page was unnecessary. Moldy orange 02:15, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
How is unnecessary to change "shot" to "screenshot"? --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 20:14, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
They virtually mean the same thing. Moldy orange 20:55, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Re:Ursaring Image

I'll try--CoolPikachu! 02:11, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Personal Images

You have reached your limit of personal pictures so if any more are uploaded you have to choose which stay and whcih leave.--CoolPikachu! 23:47, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

The limit is 2. That's how many I have, and I'm getting one of them deleted anyway. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 23:48, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
Okay.--CoolPikachu! 23:49, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

Categories

I'm in the middle of categorizing the custom sprites that aren't in the custom sprite category. Oh, and tell F-V to delete Image:DPChansey joy.PNG --Kukimanmanman 19:21, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

Your new template

Make sure to always subst it. Thanks Moldy orange 22:55, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

Card images

Hey, please don't deal with card images. It's hard enough to messing with uploading the many cards, we don't need you uploading images with site stamps. So please, leave the TCG to people who know what their doing. Stick with your speciality...anime. Maverick Nate 01:33, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

Do your best to keep the image straight, please. Maverick Nate 23:37, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
Sorry 'bout that. My scanner was acting crappy so it scanned the edges weird. But I managed to get the cards to scan correctly now. Chocolate 01:34, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait! When it has the Japanese tcg site name as the file name, for example "103 110 MATADOGAS.jpg", upload the new card under a new name, just to get rid of a bunch of confusion based on the name. It just helps when someone is searching through images. Also, do you have any other cards that are on Politoed's list? Maverick Nate 02:37, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
Also, when a set has less than 100 cards, only two digits should be put into the Set category link, because an extra zero is unneeded, and could also cause order problems on the category pages, because some would start with zero and others would start with what they were supposed to. Maverick Nate 02:46, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
Okay. I'll make sure to upload English versions under different names. As for Politoed's list, I'm not sure, but I'll check the list later and see. Chocolate 13:35, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
I'm beginning to get a little pet peeve here. You don't capitalize the c in Category or the first letter of the category name. This has been bugging me, so could you start? I know it doesn't really matter, but it looks better and more conformed with every other page in the coding. Maverick Nate 00:43, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
But the categories would still work the exact same way; they'd still be capitalized when you're viewing the image. And, it takes less time to type it uncapitalized, so why exactly does it matter? Chocolate 00:45, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
So, you complain when fragments don't get periods, but you won't complain when the Categories' titles aren't capitalized? The categories' names are just titles of the pages, and titles should be capitalized at all times... and we really don't want to have Bulbapedia written like a bunch of four year olds, because only people so young wouldn't understand the laws of the English language. And, it takes less time to put the e instead of the é in Pokémon, but that doesn't mean we should go around not putting in the é just because "it takes less time to type." Good things take time, and having the categories capitalized is a good thing. Holding down the shift key barely takes any time at all, so please capitalize titles of categories. Maverick Nate 01:52, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

The period and é things are different. Pokémon is officially spelled with an é, not an e, which is why we type it like that. It's proper for summaries on images to always have periods at the end. However, categories are different. You only see the coding the edit box, and regardless of the capitalization in the edit box, the first letter of every category will always be capitalized when someone is looking at the image categories somewhere other than the edit box. Chocolate 02:18, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

Well, you're way will work unil mediawiki 1.14, when pages can start with lowercase letters, thus making every category you wrote in lowercase needing to be changed where it would need to go. I was just thinking about the future, but if you want to be stubborn, go right ahead. Maverick Nate 03:10, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
Well, you didn't tell me about that at first. But I guess I'll fix the categories now. Chocolate 03:48, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

Giratina

There is another site stealing that image by bandwidth, another version of it has been uploaded and is used, this is to get the other site to not steal in a creative way. Maverick Nate 23:54, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

You can see it here: [1]. Maverick Nate 23:58, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

Thanks

All right, I'll do that. Thanks. Hmdwgf 03:00, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

Re:What?

Not you.--Coolピカチュウ! 03:10, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

Then who were you referring to? Chocolate 03:16, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
I can't remember o.0 -.- --Coolピカチュウ! 03:34, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

Your bulbasaur award

Don't worry. It may be considered a personal image, but if it is used on more than one person's userpage, there is no way it could fairly be counted as a personal image for yourself. It is mostly just a licensing tag that fits with it. I might since you don't have any at the moment, but I highly doubt I will. Don't worry about it. Maverick Nate 05:14, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

At your request, Sir Cocoa...

I uploaded PNG versions of the pics, but I can't delete or redirect the image. Can you PLEASE do that? Danku! --Mew a.k.a. Prmatt11 21:20, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

Ok, here i am

I don't know how to fix it. Fix it.--RexRacer 02:49, 31 December 2008 (UTC)

Fix what? Chocolate 02:49, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
The Quilava sprite.--RexRacer 02:50, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
I have proof that it's supposed to be how I put it. I'll even make a proof video if you want. Chocolate 02:51, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
Don't do this. DON'T. IT IS RIGHT HOW IT IS. Your visual boy against my legitimate copy. Hmm. MINE WINS. FIX IT.--RexRacer 02:52, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
Sorry, but I get passionate about Quilava.--RexRacer 02:52, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
