Credit for image?

A lot of the Sugimori art we have would probably be better described as "Sugimori-style" art, as I believe a large proportion is not specifically designed by him anymore. Using the "Sugimori art" template on files here is a bit of a catch-all for what might be better described as Pokémon core game artwork.

An interesting task for the future might be to research and source which artworks were actually designed by him, and which were designed by other artists, with a view to tagging and categorizing the artwork more appropriately. Thespeon (talk) 15:48, 7 July 2026 (UTC)
