Has there been any move in Generations that has fundementally differed from the games when it concerns effects? No. The main anime has been inconsistent with many things, and it's a different medium altogether. We can't go around by comparing Generations to it. You didn't even respond to the point I brought up by why Generations can only differ from the main anime by looks. This is a point you made earlier and I was fine by that point, but now you're basically contradicting yourself by comparing the main anime and Generations by effects. If they can differ by looks, why not by effects? By the same logic, we should just add that Brendan's Sceptile used Leaf Storm in PG08 right? Because it looked exactly like Leaf Storm in the main anime, and we can compare these two animes according to you. ::::::But you are assuming. Nothing suggests that the Pokemon Generation follows the games, when the other anime adaptations don't follow it that faithfully as well. And maybe there has been a move that has differed from how the games use the move, because we know hardly any of the moves that have been used in Pokemon Generations, because the people who have created it seem to be allergic to the characters calling out the names of the Moves. And I didn't respond to that argument because I didn't think it was a good one, simply for two reasons. 1: Unlike the fact that there is no evidence to suggest that Pokemon Generations follows the game mechanics completely, there is evidence that shows that some of the Moves in it are quite different from the main anime series. 2: Moves change animations at the start of every series or so in the main series, so it's not unusual for it to change in the anime spin-offs. And yes, that could be Leaf Storm in PG08, but it might not be, since not all moves have changed appearances, but there are some moves that should unquestionably be considered a specific move, that can't be any other move. For example, Psycho Boost, because it looks similar to how it looked in the main anime and it is Deoxy's signature move and Teleport because no other move fits that moves animation. == Gen III Poké Ball summary sprites. ==
Hi, so I was updating the sprites for the Ultra Ball page to include the FRLGE in-battle and summary screen sprite, and I noticed that all the Gen III Poké Ball summary/in-battle sprites actually need to be updated as they seem to be low quality. I have all the sprites but it needs an admin to update them, ty 04:12, 14 May 2022 (UTC) {{unsigned|PurpleOrange}}

Welcome
Welcome to the Bulbagarden Archives, Blazingfist!
By creating your account you are now able to upload images to help Bulbapedia and Bulbanews. Before you jump in, take a look at these helpful tips:

Thank you, and have a good time uploading here! |
Kalos Route 12
Can you upload an image of Route 12 in the anime? I am barely familiar with the episode it appeared in. Pattyman (talk) 04:16, 24 October 2014 (UTC)
- It appears in multiple episodes, seeing how it's located between Shalour City and Coumarine City. But sure, I'll upload a fitting one. Blazingfist (talk) 12:55, 24 October 2014 (UTC)
- One more thing, could you please move this file? Much appreciated. Blazingfist (talk) 12:57, 24 October 2014 (UTC)
Help
I want to help edit stuff too. But how do you become an Admin? Can you help me with stuff?--JasonL (talk) 19:55, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
- You don't just become an admin. There's a lot of work and time in that. Some users are granted special permission and are given access during the lockdown, but this is only a handful and is only granted to those that the staff deems capable enough. I can propose your request to edit during the lockdown to other staff, but I can't promise you will be granted access. The lockdown is there for a reason, it is to ensure all information during the release of ORAS is added smoothly without any setbacks. The staff tries to do anything in their power to make sure Bulbapedia is open to everyone again as soon as possible, but until that time, please have patience. Blazingfist (talk) 22:01, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
Okay but can you do something for XY049?--JasonL (talk) 21:46, 27 October 2014 (UTC)
- That depends on the edit. If it is something of importance, then yes. Blazingfist (talk) 07:21, 28 October 2014 (UTC)
Could you add one of Team Rocket Pokémon? I saw it on the preview.--JasonL (talk) 00:16, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
- Alright, which episode and which Pokémon? Blazingfist (talk) 09:54, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
- Never mind, I found it out myself. Thanks for pointing out. Blazingfist (talk) 12:21, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
Anytime! and do you know XY043? English dub title is revealed. Origins of Mega Evolution!--JasonL (talk) 11:11, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
XY044 Episode
Could you please do some improvements the episode aired already.--JasonL (talk) 13:26, 23 November 2014 (UTC)
- I'm aware and I was going to, but I haven't had the time. But if you have any other suggestions for Bulbapedia during the lockdown, please contact me either via the forums (my name is Neo Blaze) or via the e-mail function. Should've said before, but please only use this talk page for things concerning the Archives. Thanks. Blazingfist (talk) 13:50, 23 November 2014 (UTC)
Okay. But when is Bulbapedia is going to unlock-down?--JasonL (talk) 02:31, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
- Bulbapedia will be open to anyone again as soon as possible. There is no set date when it will open again. Until that time, please have patience. Thanks. Blazingfist (talk) 10:23, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
Wobbuffet Village characters
Can you upload images of the two characters from the Wobbuffet Village in Wobbu-Palooza!, Shinji and Yahichi? I don't know if they were named in the dub, possibly not. Both of them are in my userspace on the Bulbapedia side and some information about them were commented out in the episode article. Pattyman (talk) 23:56, 29 January 2015 (UTC)
- I'm aware of the existence of these characters. PokeAni (which has a fairly accurate database of all anime characters up to late DP, even the most minor ones), also lists them, see here (scroll down to 173, the last two colons before Officer Jenny describe Shinji and Yahichi). The problem is, I'm not entirely sure which of the villagers are Shinji and Yahichi. Furthermore, Shinji's description on PokeAni describes him as only being mentioned. Instead, there's another resident, called Tatsuro (the colon before Yahichi's colon). Yahichi's description describes him as a resident whose Wobbuffet got beaten up by the Festival Crashers, and estimates him to be 40, so I'm guessing he is the older man with the moustache who the gang and Nario talk to (shortly after they talked to Annie, the little girl). Tatsuro is also described as having his Wobbuffet beaten up, and he is estimated to be around 20 years old. I'm guessing he is the younger man, who bows down to his Wobbuffet after it is badly hurt by the Festival Crashers in front of the Wobbuffet statue. However, none of this I am sure about. Although I also think there are no other villagers shown who fit to the profiles of both Yahichi and Tatsuro. I'm not even sure if their names were mentioned in the original Japanese dialogue, or if they were revealed through some script or something. But I'm pretty sure PokeAni is trustworthy. It would be best to ask someone who is both fluent in Japanese and has access to the original Japanese version of the episode to confirm all this. Blazingfist (talk) 13:37, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
Couriway Theater
Just wanted to say the new image is way better fitting. I was actually considering this one since it showed the audience seats, but the one you chose fits perfectly.--Handmaiden 101 (talk) 00:38, 21 December 2015 (UTC)
Protect
It used the attack against Dragon Ascent, which can causes a status effect, just like how that Vivillon in XY012 used Safeguard against Dolan's Diggersby's Mud Shot, a move which can also cause a status effect. Also, what status move was Deoxys protecting itself from in AG171? And the crack in the protective barrier doesn't mean its protect. A crack can occur in any kind of barrier. So again, how is this definitely Protect? Playerking95 (talk) 09:46, 29 October 2016 (UTC)
- Huh? Dragon Ascent doesn't cause any status effect. And wasn't it you who said moves can differ between the main anime and Pokémon Generations? So those arguments you used don't go up here according to your own logic. We don't know how Safeguard works in Generations so we can be pretty sure this is Protect because it shielded Deoxys from Dragon Ascent. And no, Dragon Ascent does not cause any status effects, so there's that too. Blazingfist (talk) 10:10, 29 October 2016 (UTC)
- Yeah, difference when it comes to looks, but not anything else. You also didn't explain why Deoxys used Safeguard in AG171 and why did Lugia use it against falling rubble in EP222 and why did Lisa's Butterfree use it in M03 against a Vine Whip? What status effect does Vine Whip have? What about Clair's Dragonair using Safeguard against Dragonite's Hyper Beam. What status effect does Hyper Beam have? What status effecting attacks did Latios and Latias use Safeguard against near the end of M05? What about AG045, where Misty's Togepi used Safeguard against Hyper Beam and Solar Beam? What status effect does Psychic have when Ralts uses Safeguard against Psychic in AG109? What about the Wynaut in AG113 that used Safeguard against a Pin Missile attack? Or the Wynaut that used Safeguard in PK17, against what looks to be a Hyper Beam? See, the anime has shown that Safeguard doesn't just protect against Status attacks, so please delete the image unless there is some sort of confirmation, because right not, this is pure speculation. Playerking95 (talk) 13:32, 29 October 2016 (UTC)
- Why can Generations moves only be different from the main anime by looks? Pokémon Generations and the main anime are two totally different things, and we simply don't know how Safeguard works in Generations. Fact of the matter is, Deoxys blocked Dragon Ascent with some sort of move. If we look at the game descriptions, Protect is the only one that fits. - Yeah, guessed as much. I should probably try to find a similar program. The free to use sites on the internet aren't quite as effective. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 09:10, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
- May I request you'd upload a composite picture for me? Specifically, this shot, just a seamless version. It's Ash and his Bayleef being rewarded for winning the Extreme Pokémon Race. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 12:00, 23 April 2020 (UTC)
- This is the best I can do for now. It isn't entirely seamless, but that's hard to do. At least it's better than the version you linked. Blazingfist (talk) 15:12, 23 April 2020 (UTC)
- It's plenty good enough for me. Thanks! Another composition picture I've failed to do myself is one of the Kantonian Gym in the anime. We get a sweeping shot of the entire tower, but due to the lighting effect at the top of the screen, I've not been able to make a proper composition picture of it. Can you do it? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 09:46, 29 April 2020 (UTC)
- I can't seem to get the top part right. There's something with the background that is messing it up. The clouds in the background won't line up with the rest of the picture. I'll take another look at it later though. Blazingfist (talk) 15:29, 29 April 2020 (UTC)
- I'm afraid this is the best I can do. It's cropped a bit awkwardly but that's because of the aforementioned clouds. Blazingfist (talk) 15:37, 29 April 2020 (UTC)
- Whoops! Took me months to come back here and notice your reply! I feel so stupid right now! My bad! --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 18:26, 11 September 2020 (UTC)

Move request
Could you move the images related to the Colossus Ruins to match the location's dub name? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 18:26, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
Image request
Myself and Finnish think it would be good to have an image of the Scoreboard showing the current Project Mew Challenger Token numbers, only problem is a composite shot is better for it but I am unable to do them--BigDocFan (talk) 21:41, 13 May 2022 (UTC)
- I can try to get a composite shot but it will have to wait until tomorrow. Blazingfist (talk) 22:37, 13 May 2022 (UTC)
- I don't think I can get a good composite shot unfortunately, because just as it pans to the right and it shows the right side of the scoreboard, the shot is interlaced with Goh's reaction to it: see here Blazingfist (talk) 12:11, 14 May 2022 (UTC)
- Fair enough, HW has uploaded an image in its place, not the full board but it will do--BigDocFan (talk) 17:50, 14 May 2022 (UTC)
- As for a composite shot that should be possible: do you think you could get an image that shows the battlefield of the Dewford Gym in the anime in its entirety? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 16:29, 16 May 2022 (UTC)
- Done. It's not showing properly at the moment, but I can assure you the composite turned out quite well. Blazingfist (talk) 17:59, 17 May 2022 (UTC)
- We now access to a pan of the Project Mew token scoreboard without Goh's image appearing over it. Also, do you think you could recreate Tyson Trophy.png with better quality? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 21:10, 14 November 2022 (UTC)

Gen III Poké Ball summary sprites.
Hi, so I was updating the sprites for the Ultra Ball page to include the FRLGE in-battle and summary screen sprite, and I noticed that all the Gen III Poké Ball summary/in-battle sprites actually need to be updated as they seem to be low quality. I have all the sprites but it needs an admin to update them, ty 04:12, 14 May 2022 (UTC) - unsigned comment from PurpleOrange (talk • contribs)
- So if I understand correctly, you'd like me to upload higher quality versions that you can provide? I can do that, if you can somehow send me them. Blazingfist (talk) 12:05, 14 May 2022 (UTC)
- Yeah that's about it. Not sure what's the best way to get them to you, I'm on the Bulbagarden discord, or if there's an e-mail to send to, or if I should upload them as a temporary file? ty--PurpleOrange (talk) 16:43, 14 May 2022 (UTC)
- My Discord handle is Neo Blaze#9762, you can send them to me that way if you're able to find me. Alternatively, you could upload them on an image hosting site (like Imgur) and send me the file link, but Discord may be quicker and less of a hassle.

- Also I forgot to ask, where did you get the sprites from, did you get them yourself? Blazingfist (talk) 20:02, 14 May 2022 (UTC)
