:::::::::Yep, Photoshop has like.. every type of blur you could think of. x_o Also, I'm really surprised that most of the RSE art hasn't been updated since early '05. It would be nice if we actually got Hi-res art of it like we did FRLG, DPPt and HGSS. D:--[[User:Cubic Question|Cubic Question]] 19:30, 23 July 2010 (UTC) |

Thank you, and have a good time uploading here! |
Hi
Please upload .png files instead of .jpgs for anime screenshots as they are of higher quality. Don't forget to tag and categorize all your uploads. Thank you. JelloTalk 12:49, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
Hi
Please read the checklist when you upload media files, and be sure to tag and categorize all images. If you're confused about the requirements for uploading files, have a look at this guide. --ht14 15:46, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
Metapod image
Is it evolving or using Harden? You uploaded the same image for both.--immewnitythemew 18:13, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
- It's using Harden, I actually didn't know if I could delete the previous image or not, and I didn' want the file name to cause confusion.--Cubic Question 18:18, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
You
No uploading duplicates, unless you are replacing a jpg with a png. Also, you cannot put ==Summary== in the summary box AND pick a licensing tag. It is one or the other, and since you have to put a tag, I hope you can deduce the right decision. MaverickNate 19:29, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
- Unless an image is over the 1080x1080 resolution limit, there is absolutely NO reason why you should be reducing the size of perfectly good pngs. Do it again and you shall be sorry. MaverickNate 21:06, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
- I'm not just reducing the size of the images. I removed a bunch of the JPEG artifacts on the images in question, and reducing the images makes them look better when shrunken down on the page itself. I'm sorry, but I thought I was making things look better. No need to have an attitude.--Cubic Question 21:10, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
- If you're going to shrink the images, then don't upload them. I'm guessing you're taking these screenshots from filb.de? If so then it's not really that much work. Some of the images were fine as they were so I don't know why you went around shrinking them, they're shrunk down on the pages too, so it makes no difference. JelloTalk 21:17, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
- No, I was manually resizing them and re-drawing messy parts in Photoshop so everything would be the same size. :P Probably me just being obsessive-compulsive, though. Again, I wasn't trying to disrupt anyone, I just thought it looked better.--Cubic Question 21:19, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
- Alright, thanks. By the way, please keep in mind the maximum resolution for images, which is 1080 x 1080 pixels. Your newer uploads are going to have to be shrunk down to fit that limit. JelloTalk 06:31, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
- Ack, I misread that. I thought that 1080x1080 actually meant 1080x1080. D:--Cubic Question 06:34, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
- Hey, remember what we said about shrinking images? Please try not to do it, and as for editing them, that wouldn't be preferred either as that isn't how they were originally shown. I noticed that in some the colors were a bit lightened or something like that. A little sharpening to make them clear or removing logos is fine, but please try not to go beyond that. Thanks. JelloTalk 16:11, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
- Nono, those were actually different screenshots from episodes I have. I noticed many of the current screenshots are.. faded and blurry. But yeah, those are actual screenshots. ;_;. Anyway, am I going overboard with the editing right now? I've been doing a bunch of it, and I don't want to end up annoying people, haha.--Cubic Question 19:12, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
- We appreciate your efforts...but yeah, if you're going from a file that was 640x420 to something half that size, then we wouldn't want that. Otherwise, you're doing a great job. The older anime episodes, I agree, are faded and blurry, but that's how they were originally, and we'd like to keep it like that. JelloTalk 19:17, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Hello
Please tag all images. This is your second notice. --ht14 00:34, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
- Oh wow, did I miss it again? Does this count for updated images? I can understand the categorizing, but I'm now guessing that everything needs to be tagged?--Cubic Question 01:53, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
- What do you mean? Just categorize, such as File:Cute Charm Ambipom.png. Check the history... you didn't categorize it as Category:Ambipom and Category:Abilities (anime) before I edited it. ht14 02:08, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
- D: Oh, how incredibly stupid of me. I'll pay attention next time I go on a mass-uploading spree.--Cubic Question 02:15, 8 July 2010 (UTC)

Replacing images
Whenever you replace an image, you must put the delete tag on the old one. Having duplicates lying around is a bad thing. MaverickNate 12:14, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, I was wondering about that earlier. Could I ask for an example of what tag to use? :X--Cubic Question 12:36, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
- {{delete|reason here}} is that okay for you? JelloTalk 16:48, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

Sugimori Artwork
While it's admirable that you're trying to get these images to fit within the new resolution limit, I must ask you to stop. You're grossly under-sizing the images, which is just going to cause problems. If you must re-size these pieces of artwork, please make their largest dimension meet the 1080 pixel limit exactly. Thanks, - Kogoro | Talk to me - 05:51, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- Gotcha. I noticed a few of the larger images are discolored and washed out. Would it be alright to edit these ones down to the smaller, but true-colored artwork?--Cubic Question 05:55, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- It would be preferred if you could upload ones that are either of equal, or better resolution in such a case. (Keeping sure to be at the 1080 limit when replacing images beyond the limit.) Losing resolution on already small images such as Wurmple, is definitely not a good thing. - Kogoro | Talk to me - 06:06, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- Alright, sounds good. Sorry about that. :P--Cubic Question 06:27, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- However, resizing the washed-out ones and adding saturation changes the color more. Just upload the pokemon.com ones.--immewnitythemew 18:57, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- So, say, uploading would be preferable to a recolored larger image? Haha, I feel like I'm confusing everyone here. D8--Cubic Question 19:00, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- Basically, except that's a JPG. would be better. Also, to get rid of JPG elements in Paint.NET, use the Surface Blur option at 2 and 5 settings.--immewnitythemew 19:13, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
