Categories

Make sure you add any category that can apply. It helps find things later. For example, Rayquaza is on the cover for the emerald guide, so the Rayquaza category should go on the page. Categories are important, so don't forget to put them in the summary when you upload images. Maverick Nate 20:10, 25 July 2009 (UTC)

Ok, thanks for letting me know. Would I just add that when I upload the picture? Thanks. -MasterKenobi 01:16, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
Just put them in the summary box whenever you upload. Maverick Nate 02:08, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
I will make sure to do that. -MasterKenobi 20:10, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
Please try a little harder. If a Pokémon appears in the image, make sure to put the category in. You've done a good job on Summaries, now we've just got to get the categories going as well. Maverick Nate 16:51, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
I think I just figured that out you do [[Category: What is in the Category]] -MasterKenobi
the text is not going to appear if it is linked as a category. Maverick Nate 21:00, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Moving pages

Moves can be requested by using Template:Move; simply write {{move|alternate file name}} on the page of the file in question. With that said, there is never anything wrong with asking on an administrator's talk page as you did earlier. —darklordtrom 07:48, 15 August 2009 (UTC)

jpg files cannot be renamed as a png file. A new version of that Jessie shot should be uploaded in png format, but that does not and does not ever mean you should resave an old jpg in png format. —darklordtrom 05:14, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
That just went a bit over my head. I tried figuring out how to change the file, but could not... Is there a guide on here to tell how to do so? -MasterKenobi 23:51, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
You literally can't. You need to get the episode, and retake the screenshot, and save it in png. —darklordtrom 02:19, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
Ok, that makes sense. I will make sure to do that in the future, thanks. -MasterKenobi 02:54, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

"Stealing"

This applies to you too. —darklordtrom 21:34, 13 September 2009 (UTC)

Sorry about that Trom. I will make sure not to do that anymore. Sorry! -MasterKenobi 03:24, 14 September 2009 (UTC)

Next time

It actually uploaded fine the first time. It just so happens that the old image is saved in your browser cache. To get rid of this, opening the picture and refreshing the page should be sufficient. MaverickNate 11:49, 31 March 2010 (UTC)

I know, sorry about that. I pressed submit and then got an error (404 I think) so I kept pressing refresh until I figured out that it went through. —MasterKenobi 00:40, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

READ

Summary, licensing, and categories are all very important. Please never forget them again. —darklordtrom 07:27, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

Scared me half to death there Trom, I reviewed it though. I was going off of the a:File:HGSS_Dragon's_Den-Day.png summary page and was trying to make it similar. When I tried uploading the Cerulean Cave one I got some weird error and then once I did finally upload it I had to fix the summary manually as someone decided to put in "still looking for..." in the summary.
Along with that we need to add all the Pokémon that are found in the eyecatches so I will start working on all of those. I assume you want them all modeled after the Cerulean Cave one that you fixed.
Thanks again. —MasterKenobi 07:48, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
Well I based it off of the Generation III ones and I don't see why we can't use those again. When you fix the summaries manually you need to use the headers and do the licensing and all sorts of stuff. To manually input the license tags, this category has the template names. Sorry if I seemed grouchy; I thought you'd have known better. —darklordtrom 07:58, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
Yes, I see where you are getting it from and we should stay consistent. I will keep that in mind for the future if I ever get that error again. Since Ditto is in the Cerulean Cave Day eyecatch should we tag it with Ditto and maybe add that to the summary? They decided to throw in a ton of Pokémon for this time around in the eyecatches. —MasterKenobi 08:02, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
Sounds good to me. I'll show you how I want it done on the Cerulean Cave example. —darklordtrom 21:23, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
Looks pretty good then, I will start working on making all of the new eyecatches for Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver Version that way. Thanks Trom. —MasterKenobi 04:02, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

This may be the archives...

But the e-acute still exists. It's Pokémon, not Pokemon. MaverickNate 08:52, 1 March 2011 (UTC)

Sorry about that Nate, it was late and I was trying to blow through things. I'll go back and fix them on my next break. My apologies. —MasterKenobi 14:18, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
No need to apologize. Just keep it in mind. Also, I think I got them all. MaverickNate 23:17, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
