Welcome to the Bulbagarden Archives, Hikaru Wazana!

As a new user, you may wish to learn a few things that will be useful in your uploading:

The Manual of Style, or MoS, outlines the format and guidelines of all images on Bulbagarden Archives.

All of our administrators are here to help! Talk to them if you have any questions or problems with the Archives.

Tagging images with correct licenses and categories is a must. These guidelines will help you learn more about tagging images.

  • Please read the checklist when you upload media files. The checklist is there to make sure you are doing everything necessary when uploading said media files.
  • Be sure to tag and categorize all images. This helps organize the vast amount of images we have here.
  • Check if your image already exists by searching through categories, and Bulbapedia pages. This action will help prevent unnecessary duplicates from appearing.
  • When adding a licensing tag to anime or game screenshots, please avoid just choosing "Screenshot". This is not descriptive and places the images in the wrong category. Make sure to choose "Screenshot from a Pokémon game," or "Screenshot from the Pokémon anime." This will put them in the right categories, and help keep the Archives clean.
  • Does your image have a purpose? Will you be using it on a Bulbagarden Project? Avoid uploading images because you think they are "Cute" or "Awesome". That clutters the Archives.
  • Personal images are limited to two for each User. Personal images include personal logos, personal trainer sprites, drawings, trainer cards and mostly any image that would only be used in the User: namespace and have no encyclopedic value to Bulbagarden and its affiliates. Please tag these with the {{i-Personal}} template for easier organization. Under no circumstance should a photograph of one's self ever be uploaded onto Bulbapedia Archives.
  • In addition, please upload images with meaningful names. Names that are just numbers, for example, do not describe anything about the image, and can make it difficult for searchers. Names are just as important as licenses and categories, so make them descriptive.
  • If you're confused about the requirements for uploading files, have a look at this guide.
Thank you, and have a good time uploading here!

Please make sure to use png instead of png and jpg instead of JPG. Lowercase extensions work so much better, look better, and also aren't limited by templates. Just make sure that from now on, every image you upload has lowercase extensions. MaverickNate 23:12, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

Always lowercase extensions. This is your second warning. MaverickNate 02:19, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
Last warning. If you do it again, you will be blocked. MaverickNate 00:18, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
How sad. I was hoping you would actually follow the rules. Start using lowercase extensions, or your block will be longer next time. MaverickNate 20:59, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
Please use lowercase extensions. You will be blocked. ht14 23:15, 23 November 2009 (UTC)
Seeing as you've already been blocked previously, I've blocked you for 3 days. Whether Mav (or any other admin) wants to change it is his decision. Please stop uploading with uppercase extensions. Thanks. ht14 18:56, 30 December 2009 (UTC)

.jpg pics

Please don't upload .jpg files, especially low-quality files, and I'm talking about the Orange Island Gym Leader's Pokemon pics. Now I have to go and clean up the mess you made and get better pics than the ones you uploaded. And you're lucky I can actually speak Portuguese fluently, you can speak to me in that language. If you didn't understand this text, just ask me to translate it, it's no problem at all. --Hmdwgf 22:59, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

Please upload pics in .png format. --Hmdwgf 04:10, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

Congratuations. You finally uploaded a pic in the right format! There's only one problem. Please don't upload any anime pics with logos on them. This is very important. --Hmdwgf 03:55, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

Also, png, not PNG. This is because some templates only accept png, not PNG. ht14 16:34, 9 September 2010 (UTC)

Please do not upload files with non-alphanumeric characters in its name. The only characters allowed are A-Z, a-z, and 0-9. If you're confused about the requirements for uploading files, have a look at this guide. --Pattyman 04:28, 9 February 2012 (UTC)

Thanks, and Sorry about this. =/ Hikaru Wazana 10:32, 09 February 2012 (UTC)
Not a problem. Pattyman 15:10, 9 February 2012 (UTC)

BW2 Promo images

I'd like to inform you of something. We do not consider the BW2 trailer to be related to the anime at all and is simply for the games. As such, all images from it are to be labeled with the game screenshot template. Ataro 13:36, 17 May 2012 (UTC)

In fact, I not know exactly what the best definition for the screens, because despite being a material of the games is an anime. And possible the only appearance of some of them animated.Hikaru Wazana 13:39, 17 May 2012 (UTC)

B2W2's ANIME screenshots

Hello, Hikaru Wazana!

Since you uploaded a 1080p screenshot for N's appearance in the ANIME trailer of B2W2, could you do the same for the Shadow Triad? Here's the one I uploaded. My screen doesn't support such resolution. Thank you! |) u |( e ® 20:25, 17 May 2012 (UTC)

Sorry, they looked the exact same as those found on Pokémon Wikia. I know you might not have meant it. - PokémonGamer 04:53, 7 December 2015 (UTC)

I didn't know you were searching on Google for those. (making another comment since I don't think I'm allowed to edit my comments) - PokémonGamer 04:54, 7 December 2015 (UTC)
