Welcome to the Bulbagarden Archives, Pattyman! As a new user, you may wish to learn a few things that will be useful in your uploading:

Manual of Style The Manual of Style, or MoS, outlines the format and guidelines of all images on Bulbagarden Archives. List of Admins All of our administrators are here to help! Talk to them if you have any questions or problems with the Archives. Tagging Guidelines Tagging images with correct licenses and categories is a must. These guidelines will help you learn more about tagging images.

Miscellaneous Please read the checklist when you upload media files. The checklist is there to make sure you are doing everything necessary when uploading said media files. Be sure to tag and categorize all images. This helps organize the vast amount of images we have here. Check if your image already exists by searching through categories, and Bulbapedia pages. This action will help prevent unnecessary duplicates from appearing. When adding a licensing tag to anime or game screenshots, please avoid just choosing "Screenshot". This is not descriptive and places the images in the wrong category. Make sure to choose "Screenshot from a Pokémon game," or "Screenshot from the Pokémon anime." This will put them in the right categories, and help keep the Archives clean. Does your image have a purpose? Will you be using it on a Bulbagarden Project? Avoid uploading images because you think they are "Cute" or "Awesome". That clutters the Archives. Personal images are limited to two for each User. Personal images include personal logos, personal trainer sprites, drawings, trainer cards and mostly any image that would only be used in the User: namespace and have no encyclopedic value to Bulbagarden and its affiliates. Please tag these with the {{i-Personal}} template for easier organization. Under no circumstance should a photograph of one's self ever be uploaded onto Bulbagarden Archives. In addition, please upload images with meaningful names. Names that are just numbers, for example, do not describe anything about the image, and can make it difficult for searchers. Names are just as important as licenses and categories, so make them descriptive. Please be sure that the filenames contain alphanumeric characters only. Due to the many automated templates used on the wiki, lowercase extensions are imperative. That means jpg and png instead of JPG and PNG. It looks cleaner, it works better, and it does not cause any problems. Make sure to always use lowercase extensions. I can't stress this enough but, please, please don't upload any screenshots from Serebii. They do not like us taking their stuff. Also, the screenshots you're uploading are very bad in quality, please try to get clear and clean shots. This has been your last warning. —♥ Jello^talk 03:50, 23 October 2010 (UTC)

How am I taking stuff from serebii (not counting the Marill one)? Also, are you referring to the Swampert pic or all of the ones that I uploaded (I am a beginner in this so I didn't know what bad quality meant in terms of uploading)? Pattyman 18:38, 23 October 2010 (UTC)

The one you posted on my page was from Serebii, and you uploaded that same exact image here. File:Ash Mijumaru.png is an example of a good quality image. File:Cadee Mareep.png is an acceptable image (see the dimensons: 320x240) Generally, taking screenshots from Youtube is not a good idea either (unless the quality is really good or HD)—♥ Jello^talk 18:48, 23 October 2010 (UTC)

From now on, get your images from like Filb.de, like Jello mentioned above. They're cleaner and better than Serebii's pictures. Filb also has given us permission to use their images, while Serebii has not, nor will we ever want to use his images. Also, uploading bad quality images because you needed to do them quickly isn't much of an excuse, next time, find time to upload better images. Thank you. --Psy_ライダー☮ 19:19, 23 October 2010 (UTC)

When uploading, just upload the image once, and the server will eventually swap over to the newest revision. There is no need to upload the same image as many times as you did. Thank you. --Psy_ライダー☮ 19:56, 23 October 2010 (UTC)

The last one was getting too long/reset

When I uploaded the new image the first time, it kept on taking me to the old one instead [Even with the multiple uploads (that was when you said power off Einstein)]. Pattyman 20:07, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
