Hi!

If you have something to say to me, please say it on my Bulbapedia talk page. I'd like to keep all messages in one place.

Thank you. UltimateSephiroth 18:02, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

Edit (19:51, 16 July 2009 (UTC)): I should remember to refresh all images of a page when I visit an image where a new version is uploaded and I've myself checked before. Sometimes, however, like today, I forget this and accidentally put weird and awful false complaints of the last upload. I usually notice that I've forgot to refresh the images quite soon after I've made my own upload. I beg your pardon if I've falsely claimed your upload as bad. Yellow sprites

When uploading the Yellow sprites, please make sure to use {{Spr 1y}} on thier descriptions. Chocolate 22:27, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

Oh... I guess I should. But we have to alert an admin; it links them to Category:Pokémon Red and Blue sprites, not Category:Pokémon Yellow sprites. UltimateSephiroth 22:29, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
I'll tell Maverick Nate. But, when using the template, you can just upload the image with the description as {{Spr 1y|(Pokémon)|Pokémon's National Dex number}}. You don't need to select a license when uploading if you use the template. Chocolate 22:32, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I found it out already, as you can see in the newest ones. :P UltimateSephiroth 22:32, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
All right. Good job on ripping the sprites BTW. They're awesome quality! Chocolate 22:34, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
Thanks :D It took a little time, but sure was worth it. It's about time we get rid of those old, wrong-sized, wrong direction facing gif images. UltimateSephiroth 22:38, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

Gen IV size

Just wondering, what is the standard size for Gen IV spites? I want to say 80x80, but I'm not 100% sure. Jpp8 04:36, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the tip

My Photoshop is out of order, so it's hard for me to judge image sizes using MS Paint. I'll be far more precise once I get that back. Also, can I assume that when you said to upload sprites as transparent, you meant the backgrounds (as opposed to white)? -Stephen93 16:42, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

You can see the image size via the Attributes (or similar; I don't have an English MS Paint), which is located under the Image menu. However, do not use MS Paint. It cannot make the image background transparent (yes, I meant the background, not the whole sprite :P). If you only can, download for example GIMP. It may be a little hard at first but it can do a lot of things. UltimateSephiroth 18:22, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I definitely wasn't going to upload anything done with Paint after what you told me, but now Photoshop is up and running again, and I'd like to take a load off of everyone's shoulders and help with the Spritedex- I'm just stuck on one thing: I have two shiny Gligar backsprites, one with all the white pixels transparified, including the ones on Gligar's body, and one with only the outer white pixels transparified- which one meets qualifications for uploading?
Sorry for bothering you so much, I just want to make myself useful around here :D. Thanks alot! -Stephen93 19:51, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
EDIT: Just noticed you want all your messages on Bulbapedia talkpage, so I'll move it there after if you would like.
The one with only the white pixels not part of Gligar is correct. If somebody would use the picture in BP on a red template, we don't want its back to turn partially into red. And don't worry, if somebody starts the conversation here, it's okay to me, that notice is just there so the people would start the conversation there. If it is started here, then it'll stay here. Minor edits

Over on Bulbapedia, you mark almost all of your edits as minor, but here, you mark hardly any of them as minor. How come? Chocolate 20:46, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

It's basically because of I haven't fixed my preferences here in Archives yet. I have in BP the setting that an edit is minor by default on, and therefore I seldom remember to look if the box actually has the check on it ('cause most of my edits really are minor). UltimateSephiroth 20:54, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

Dude...

You're doing awesome with the sprites! Chocolate 16:17, 25 December 2008 (UTC)

Thanks! :D I'm just thinking what I should do next... Maybe I'll have a little break from the sprite job and resume my Pokémon Card GB 2 playing rumba (I think somebody told that he'd do the RB sprites, and I have the feeling that Jpp8 will do at least the resizing of Silver sprites). UltimateSephiroth 16:21, 25 December 2008 (UTC)

Do you know a Pokémon website with great quality image which is NOT .jpg, .gif ect.. I'm just wonderin' where to find some images. BTW are the Platinum sprites suppose to be animated?--Force Fire 15:12, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

If you mean by "images" the anime screenshots, at least I take them directly from the episodes (with clear 640x480 resolution) I've downloaded via a torrent. And yes, I think both DP and Pt sprites should be animated like Image:Spr 4p 001.png is - TTEchidna has though said that ###.png ones should not be animated. UltimateSephiroth 15:16, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

So

Are you able to get anime screenshots as pngs? If so, I have a little task that I would appreciate if you could help with. If you can only replace one, that would be great, but if you want to do more, that be fantastic! Want to know about it? Maverick Nate 15:19, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, tell about it, I'm glad to help :) (though my HD is not large enough to have all 11 seasons at once so I have to DL episodes again if I want to get any image material out of them, but that's no problem :P ; currently I have certain Indigo League episodes and the whole Johto League Champions season) UltimateSephiroth 15:25, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
Well, you can do what I did. I burned the episodes onto dvds and stored them away into a cd case. I have the first six seasons and the Chronicles... but I don't know how to take pngs of episodes. I'd like to learn but not at the moment now. But, take a look at the List of anime episodes. Notice anything? None of the head images are pngs. (except for a few). I was hoping you could get new ones (preferably of the same screenshot, but that is not necessary) beause most are gifs and horrible quality. I wanted to make it so that each head image had the epicode for a name and lowercase png as the extension. Do you think you could help? Maverick Nate 15:34, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I can help with them :P I put the first episodes again to be downloaded, so I think I'll manage to get at least some of them done today (goin' sleep somewhere about 02-03:00 UTC, so I have a lot of time :P) UltimateSephiroth 15:40, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
Could you also follow a similar format like how Image:EP025.png was uploaded? With a little description ending with "in ''{{bp|EP025|Primeape Goes Bananas}}''" (or something similar for whatever episode you are doing) then the head image tag, anime screenshot tag, then any appropriate categories. I know that seems like a lot, but it really makes the image the best possible with all the descriptions and needed categories. Maverick Nate 15:50, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I'll try to follow that format as well as I can. UltimateSephiroth 15:59, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
I've now taken the shots from EP158 to EP164, but I can't find the scene depicted in the image "Image:HassleintheCastle.jpg" from anywhere in that episode, so I think I'll take the screenshot from a similar scene. UltimateSephiroth 16:26, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

File:025.png

It was reverted to the right revision... The wiki showed the wrong image cause you didn't clear the cached version... - Kogoro | Talk to me - 21:46, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, I figured that out myself afterwards... Sorry. UltimateSephiroth 21:51, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

BP logo in your custom theme

Yes, you can, when you input some codes in your monobook.css:

#p-logo a { background: url(the customized bp logo hosted by imageshack or photobucket or something.png/jpg url) 100% 50% no-repeat !important; }
#p-logo a:hover { background: url(the customized bp logo hosted by imageshack or photobucket or something.png/jpg url) 100% 50% no-repeat !important; }

Best examples are PR's or Trom's custom theme. :) Kevzo8 01:57, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, I know it works like that but the point of the question was if the copyrights of the logo allow edits - guess so, if others use them. I, however, would prefer to have the image on the archives, but I guess it's no problem if I put it on ImageShack for now. UltimateSephiroth 09:48, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
For the record, mine is a somewhat edited version of Sol's, actually. This one is quite impressive though xD I don't see why there would be a problem with this, as long as it is only for use on the Bulbagarden network. Don't take it to Wikia or anything xD — THE TROM — 10:39, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Gen. II sprite sizes

It seemed to me that the 60x60 thing was some kind of unwritten rule (judging by Kogoro's comment on the Manual of Style edit), so I just went ahead and started re-resizing. You do have some great evidence, so I guess you should go to the administrators with it. I probably did act a little too quickly, so I'm going to stop editing and wait for further developments right now. I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know when you find out more. -- Socob ( Talk | Contribs ) 14:22, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
