About your alternate-color Emerald sprite plan...

We would prefer if you ripped the alternate-color Emerald sprites directly, rather than simply recolor the normal-color ones. However, yes, alternate-color sprites do have the same animation as their normal-color counterparts (this applies to not just Emerald, but also Crystal and Generation IV as well). --Shiningpikablu252 22:13, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

That's good to hear. I would be interested as to why a direct rip is preferrable simply because that'd be a lot more time-consuming. I wouldn't really know why apart from the fact that I'd maybe copy mistakes in the images along with the images themselves. I do pay close attention to the images I'm editing, though. --Socob 22:22, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

About GSC sprites...

Thank You by helping by loading them and fix them. But, can you upload the sprites by 60x60 size not 56x56 because the 60x60 size the Sprize size we want for Sprites from Generation II. --Coolピカチュウ! 23:53, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

There seems to be some kind of mix-up around... see the image I just uploaded for the proof that 56x56 is the correct size:

IDK how the administrators have got the idea that the correct size is 60x60... Although I haven't got the chance to inform TTEchidna about this yet at the BP (will try here on Archives, if his TP is not locked), so I think it'd be best to wait what happens. UltimateSephiroth 14:12, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
Well, that's just marvelous. I'd appreciate it if someone "important" could provide some clarification here. -- Socob ( Talk | Contribs ) 14:54, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, I put a message about this on TTEchidna's Archives talk page, I'll note you if/when I hear more about how sprites should be handled in the future :] UltimateSephiroth 14:38, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
According to the response on TTEchidna's talk page, I was correct. So, the correct size for sprites is 56x56 pixels. :P UltimateSephiroth 13:39, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
Oh, that silly Echidna. Thanks for resolving this and informing me about it. -- Socob ( Talk | Contribs ) 15:08, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

Crystal sprites

I see you're uploading Crystal sprites, which is fantastic. Have you got/can you get better sprites for Natu? The shiny doesn't match the normal. See talk page if you need clarification. Cheers. —darklordtrom 07:08, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

I just uploaded the Natu Crystal sprites. I'm currently going over every sprite page, so I'm used to that kind of stuff already and Natu is by far not the only one whose Crystal sprites are like that. Which reminds me, I'm trying to upload new Crystal sprites of Raichu, but it gives me this odd error. I've posted on the forums, but nobody replied... -- Socob ( Talk | Contribs ) 10:33, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. I'd noticed you going through them all which is why I asked :P Regarding forums, if no one's replied, it's possibly because no one has a clue what to do. Painstaking as it may be, you might have to re-rip Raichu. —darklordtrom 23:36, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
Well, that's kind of what my problem is: I already did. No matter what I do to the files or even if I start from scratch, it won't let me upload them. I had the idea that I could upload the files somewhere else so that you (or another user) can download them and try to get them on the Archives to see if the issue is actually related to the files.
I have a link to them (zip-file) here. It's on a German upload site, but it still says "download", so that shouldn't be a problem. -- Socob ( Talk | Contribs ) 12:02, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
Well, I speak German anyway.... "to download the file, click on the download button" :D I got the same warning. D:
Also, unrelated note. In the {{gamesprite}} template, you need to put a |s after the game name if it's paired versions. Otherwise you're linking to "Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Version". —darklordtrom 00:38, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
Hm, it was worth a try. I'll try using a different program next. If that doesn't work... then I'm out of ideas. And FUUUUU...! on the template thing. That's what I get for just copying it without actually looking at the code. Won't happen again. -- Socob ( Talk | Contribs ) 13:08, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

Answer for your question

"00:28, 26 September 2009 (hist) (diff) File:Spr 1g 021.png ‎ (uploaded a new version of "File:Spr 1g 021.png": Repositioned to fit the others... How come that Gen. I sprites are all at the bottom, anyway?)"

That's because the sprites aren't centered. In-game, they usually are all at the ground level (except flying Pokémon). All sprites ripped by me are the same way as they are in the game ROMs. Sure, the centered sprites look better in BP templates and sprite tables, I don't know if we should prefer either style over another. Hope this answered your question :] UltimateSephiroth 12:27, 26 September 2009 (UTC)

It does, thank you. Personally, I think we should prefer the centered version (except for backsprites), since they're easier to do and look better, but it seems that there are established de facto standards for the different generations, anyway. -- Socob ( Talk | Contribs ) 12:32, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
