Your email image

Hi, welcome to the Bulbapedia Archives! I saw your image of the email correspondence, but I don't think it's the type of image that needs to be uploaded to the Archives. I assume it is to provide a reference for the Pokémon in Iceland article? I don't speak/read Icelandic; would you be so kind as to summarize what it says? --Thespeon196 (talk) 19:49, 23 April 2025 (UTC)

The important part is the top message which is the answer from the representative. It says the dub is archived at RÚV's office but that RÚV cannot publish the dub without permission from the licensor (and at this point they might need to negotiate a new license entirely from a different licensor). He says that the episodes are available to watch by appointment with RÚV's archival service. Then says that the license was solicited from Lacey Entertainment at the time. The screenshots are of entries for the series in their database, showing they dubbed 52 episodes in total ("fjöldi þátta") along with some technical details. Actually one disappointing thing is IIRC the episodes all had translated titles as well, but these entries only show the english title. Fixgoats (talk) 20:11, 23 April 2025 (UTC)

Thanks for replying so quickly! It's really cool that you obtained official correspondence to evidence your wiki edits. From what you've explained, it all seems to be fine; we'll keep a copy of your image as Bulbapedia staff as evidence in case it is ever needed. Thanks for your contributions!
