Welcome to the Bulbagarden Archives, Golden Trainer!

Thank you for joining our community! By creating your account you are now able to upload images to support Bulbapedia and Bulbagarden's other projects. This is a brief introduction to the Archives rules and resources to help you get started:

  • Uploaded images must meet several requirements.
  • All images need categories and license tags. Save time and fill them out as you upload.
    • There are many different licenses - be sure to pick the best fit!
  • Use meaningful filenames. Make them descriptive so that searchers can find your images easily.
  • Personal images are not allowed. Any personal images found will be promptly removed.
  • If you don't have any images to submit, you can still help out.
  • If you have any more questions, see the FAQ or feel free to ask a staff member.
Thank you, and have a good time uploading here!

Unreleased material

Hi thanks for your contribution but I just wanted to let you know that i deleted your upload toFile:JohtoKantoGSC.png as we per our ureleased materials policy do not allow leaked image assets to be uploaded if they were obtained through illicit means. If there was another official source for the map that we missed and you are able to provide it, please feel free to do so and we can restore the image. thanks for the understanding :) 4iamking 17:42, 17 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

I see.
Why though? It's not like I uploaded leaked designs of future Pokémon. It's just a larger res version of the Gen II map that we already had on the wiki. It doesn't depict anything that wasn't in the previous pic, and it's an image that was shared by Nintendo/Game Freak with video game publications anyway. A number of game mags from back then showed it. Golden Trainer (talk) 01:34, 18 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hi. We only allow images released by official sources, such as The Pokémon Company and Nintendo and their affiliates, on the site. Images (and content) from leaks have not been released officially, and thus are not allowed. Even if the image was previously released at a lower resolution, it doesn't change the fact that the leaked higher resolution version was never officially released. Nintendo and others would not look kindly on us using assets which they did not intend for public use, and we would rather stay on the right side of them of course. Like 4iamking has said though, if you can find a better image released properly from an official source, feel free to upload it along with a source link so that we can verify where it is from --Thespeon196 (talk) 12:05, 18 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
