Welcome

Welcome to the Bulbagarden Archives, Mewtwo150Mew151!

By creating your account you are now able to upload images to help Bulbapedia and Bulbanews. Before you jump in, take a look at these helpful tips:

 • Uploaded images must meet several requirements. Please see the upload form and/or manual of style before you upload a new image.
 • All images need categories and license tags. Save time and fill them out as you upload. There are many different licenses - be sure to pick the best fit.
 • Use meaningful filenames. Make them descriptive so that searchers can find your images easily.
 • Personal images are no longer allowed. Any personal images found will be deleted on sight.
 • If you don't have any images to submit, you can still help out.
 • If you have any more questions, see the FAQ or ask a staff member.
Thank you, and have a good time uploading here!

Anime images

When uploading new images from the Anime, can you try and make sure that they are png as that is our preferred type of image.--BigDocFan, Junior Admin Bulbapedia (talk) 17:35, 5 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please remember as well to include a summary of the image along with relevant categories.--BigDocFan, Junior Admin Bulbapedia (talk) 21:24, 5 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Please make sure your anime images are the proper size. 1920×1080 files should be downsized to 1280×720. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 21:41, 6 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
For the record, it was discussed among staff, native 1080p (1920x1080) images are fine for anime screenshots assuming thats the native resolution that the episode originally aired in. The 720p guideline is outdated. 4iamking 22:01, 6 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Please remember to add a summary of what the image is about alongside categories, such as your recent image being Cufant in the anime--BigDocFan, Junior Admin Bulbapedia (talk) 00:54, 19 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
1920×1080 is the new standard image size. Just to let you know. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 08:32, 26 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Including summaries in new images isn't hard work, please remember to add a summary.--BigDocFan, Junior Admin Bulbapedia (talk) 11:08, 28 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Just a reminder that images can now be 1920x1080, they don't have to be 1280x720.--BigDocFan, Junior Admin Bulbapedia (talk) 23:38, 25 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
When uploading images, please make sure that you include summaries and categories, you can easily copy and paste from another image and then edit to match the image and make sure that imagese 1920x1080.--BigDocFan, Junior Admin Bulbapedia (talk) 22:48, 15 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Categories

When uploading new images or changing existing ones, please remember to update the categories, you can do this by typing and placing any character or Pokemon in that box, for example --BigDocFan, Junior Admin Bulbapedia (talk) 10:15, 9 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Magnezone Anime.png

The image you uploaded as Magnezone Anime is currently in use as Rocket Prize Master Magnezone, you didn't need to upload it under a different name.--BigDocFan, Junior Admin Bulbapedia (talk) 13:38, 5 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Latest images

Whilst I appreciate you uploading new images, especially as they look good in the synopsis for HZ065, I feel that your titles are a bit too long and fit the summary more than it does the title. For future reference, could you keep your image titles short but simple.--BigDocFan, Junior Admin Bulbapedia (talk) 15:23, 15 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Summary and categories

Hi, a kind reminder to remember the summary and categories when you upload an image. As well as being a requirement on the Archives, adding a summary is important to describe what the image is showing, and adding categories, such as , identifies the characters and Pokémon in the image to better sort it for the future. Also, animation screenshots like File:XY049 error 1.png should be given the licensing "Screenshot from the Pokémon anime" on the upload form.

Feel free to reach out to myself or another staff member if there's anything you're unsure of. Thespeon196 (talk) 00:52, 20 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

(File:HZ100 error 1.png) I mistook Orla's bag for her pants being miscolored. Would like this file to be either deleted or renamed to "Orla rejoins the Rising Volt Tacklers". :Terribly sorry, my mistake. Also I admit that I don't know how to create links for categories.
Thanks for flagging this, I've deleted the file.
When you're using the upload form, after you've written a brief summary of what the image is showing in the Summary section, that's when you write the categories of the characters and Pokémon shown in the image.
For an image showing Liko and Meowscarada, you would write:

Then choose the licensing from the drop-down box, which will be 'Screenshot from the Pokémon anime' if it's a Pokémon Horizons: The Series screenshot.
When you try this, don't worry if you make a mistake, just try to learn and improve each time! Thespeon196 (talk) 13:49, 1 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
