Welcome to the Bulbagarden Archives, NaMroz!

Thank you for joining our community! By creating your account you are now able to upload images to support Bulbapedia and Bulbagarden's other projects. This is a brief introduction to the Archives rules and resources to help you get started:

  • Uploaded images must meet several requirements.
  • All images need categories and license tags. Save time and fill them out as you upload.
    • There are many different licenses - be sure to pick the best fit!
  • Use meaningful filenames. Make them descriptive so that searchers can find your images easily.
  • Personal images are not allowed. Any personal images found will be promptly removed.
  • If you don't have any images to submit, you can still help out.
  • If you have any more questions, see the FAQ or feel free to ask a staff member.
Thank you, and have a good time uploading here!

Thanks

I just wanted to say thank you for all the work you've done uploading all the images, amazing work.--BigDocFan, Junior Admin Bulbapedia (talk) 11:52, 25 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

No problem! Figured I could try scouring through the internet for anything I could from the wanted list :) NaMroz (talk) 12:00, 25 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Images from the internet

Hi, can I ask you to pause uploading these for now. Images shouldn't be taken from just anywhere on the internet, rather they should be sourced from official sources, such as from official websites or their licensed third parties, or directly from a game. Otherwise, we don't know where those images were sourced from, and whether we have permission to use them. Thespeon196 (talk) 12:31, 25 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Are there any particular websites that you've been sourcing these from? Thespeon196 (talk) 12:36, 25 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hi. The Pokemon Sleep images are directly from the game. The MEGA blocks images were taken from official Mattel websites. I admit, the 3-card packs were taken from e-Bay, mostly. I'll stop uploading these now. NaMroz (talk) 12:42, 25 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your reply. Sourcing Sleep images directly from the game, and MEGA blocks from the Mattel site are ideal. And yeah, thanks for stopping the uploads of images from eBay.
Your images have made a great improvement to our Sleep and Mega Construx articles! Thespeon196 (talk) 13:27, 25 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Categories

Hi, thanks for uploading the Sleep items. Just one thing when you're writing categories, make sure to include double square brackets around the text, like [[Category:Cresselia]] rather than just Category:Cresselia . If you've got any questions about this or anything else, feel free to ask myself or another staff member. Thespeon196 (talk) 12:14, 28 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Image sources

Hey there, hope you're well! I wanted to ask about a few images you uploaded last week - the latest wonder pick event banner, this coin, and this profile icon - could you confirm where these images originally came from? Thanks! Cipher (talk) 14:30, 19 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hi! I got those from various sites posting TCGP news (Serebii, PTCGPocket.gg, Pokemon-Zone, Game8.co). I usually check multiple sources to make sure those are the right images, though I noticed a bit too late the banner was the wrong resolution. If there was any issue with the resolution/quality or the sources I get the images from in general, I'll stop. NaMroz (talk) 16:27, 19 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
Sorry for the late reply, and thanks for the clarification! Regarding image sources, we don't allow images that come directly from Serebii; as for other sources, they should be checked for a license to see if they have one that would allow images to be uploaded (more information on licensing can be found here), and if that information can't be found or isn't readily available, the source should be asked for permission to see if we can use their images. (This doesn't apply to official sites, like Pokemon.com.) For a bit of info on Pocket images, there's no urgency to source things like accessories, emblems etc. elsewhere as we can obtain those from the app itself. Cipher (talk) 10:09, 23 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
Alright, got it. I'll try to upload Pocket images only if I have all of them from the right source. NaMroz (talk) 11:44, 23 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

TCG Pocket accessories

Hi there! Just to let you know that with TCG Pocket accessory images, we don't upload them until they're made available in the app or visible in solo matches (unavailable accessories are sometimes used in drop event matches before they're made available in the shop). Once they're available, then we upload them. I'll leave the ones you've uploaded up on this occasion, just wanted to give you a heads-up. Cipher (talk) 10:08, 28 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

Oh, alright. I'll keep that in mind. Sorry for any trouble that caused! NaMroz (talk) 10:10, 28 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
No trouble at all, don't worry about it! If anything changes in the future, I'll be sure it gets communicated. Cipher (talk) 10:15, 28 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hi! Just to let you know we've updated this policy to remove this limitation. As such, accessories added to the app alongside each update can be uploaded right away, as long as they're properly sourced (all images from today's update have been uploaded already). This was partly triggered by your uploads last month, as it occurred to me when I left you that last message that the policy could really do to be reviewed, so thank you for the chance reminder on that, and for your patience as we continue to figure out the best way to handle Pocket coverage :) Cipher (talk) 20:50, 29 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for letting me know! NaMroz (talk) 20:53, 29 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

Haru concept art

Hi, have you got a source link for File:Concept Art Concierge Haru.png? I can't seem to find it through the current link Thespeon196 (talk) 21:36, 11 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

https://x.com/catsuka/status/1740649789379993703, taken from https://about.netflix.com/news/making-of-pokemon-concierge but I can't access this link because I get redirected. NaMroz (talk) 06:37, 12 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

Eternamax Eternatus

Hi, I noticed your recent upload of File:Eternamax Eternatus.png, and wondering if you have a source for the image?

(Also, a minor point, but when uploading it, the best way would have been to write the Summary header as == Summary ==, with spaces between the equals signs and 'Summary'. Otherwise it creates a double header!) Thespeon196 (talk) 10:58, 13 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I found it uploaded by https://x.com/dreamworldsvg who I see uploads the "corporate style" Pokemon artwork unofficialy on their Google Drive. NaMroz (talk) 16:36, 14 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

TCGP card updates

Hi, I wanted to thank you for your hard work in contributing to our TCG Pocket content. Note that in cases where the illustration for a card is updated (such as in the recent case of Phanpy (Promo-A 108)), we want to have both versions of the card in a comparison gallery in the trivia section (like with Ho-Oh ex (Wisdom of Sea and Sky 210)). Thus, it would be better to upload the new card as a separate image, instead of uploading over the existing image. The existing image can be tagged with {{move}} for renaming. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Thanks! → SuperPikaPool13 19:43, 14 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the info, I just looked at the case of the Ho-oh ex and Lugia ex arts and didn't see that they were probably moved, just that the in-game version was the one with the "proper" file name. NaMroz (talk) 19:45, 14 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
In the case of Ho-Oh & Lugia, we already knew those artworks would be replaced (as it was announced prior to the actual release of the set, when images were uploaded), so those were directly uploaded at '_original' and '_placeholder' titles, instead of having to be moved. The updated (final in-game) artwork was then uploaded later directly at the base title. Once again, thanks your all your hard work with not just TCGP but other side games too! → SuperPikaPool13 04:52, 15 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

Sleep images

Heya; I'm just wondering where you sourced the recent Sleep images from? The main concern is that they are heavily downsized from the game and appear to be the exact same dimensions as are used on Serebii. Even if they have been reposted from Serebii onto another site, this is absolutely a no-go as we cannot allow images originally sourced from there, regardless of whatever third parties they passed through. While it may be possible to source the assets from other websites, please understand that if you do the the risk is on the uploader, furthermore, it is important that you check that the source website allows it and their license is compatable with ours. When this is done, proper attribution must usually be also given (meaning write the image source/website name in the image summary description). The safest of course is taking the assets from an .apk and uploading them directly yourself. As you have been warned about before, please consider this your final warning, as we may have to otherwise take unwanted action. If you have any questions, please do reach out to me or another member of staff. 4iamking 08:15, 1 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
