Before uploading any images taken from Nintendo 3DS games, please take a moment to read this message.
Got a spare minute? The Archives need some love. See the to-do list to find a way to help.
If you upload a new image make sure you name and categorize it properly. If in doubt, ask an admin or see our FAQ page.

Welcome to the Bulbagarden Archives, Tempest370!

As a new user, you may wish to learn a few things that will be useful in your uploading:

The Manual of Style, or MoS, outlines the format and guidelines of all images on Bulbagarden Archives.

All of our administrators are here to help! Talk to them if you have any questions or problems with the Archives.

Tagging images with correct licenses and categories is a must. These guidelines will help you learn more about tagging images.

  • Please read the checklist when you upload media files. The checklist is there to make sure you are doing everything necessary when uploading said media files.
  • Be sure to tag and categorize all images. This helps organize the vast amount of images we have here.
  • Check if your image already exists by searching through categories, and Bulbapedia pages. This action will help prevent unnecessary duplicates from appearing.
  • When adding a licensing tag to anime or game screenshots, please avoid just choosing "Screenshot". This is not descriptive and places the images in the wrong category. Make sure to choose "Screenshot from a Pokémon game," or "Screenshot from the Pokémon anime." This will put them in the right categories, and help keep the Archives clean.
  • Does your image have a purpose? Will you be using it on a Bulbagarden Project? Avoid uploading images because you think they are "Cute" or "Awesome". That clutters the Archives.
  • Personal images are limited to two for each User. Personal images include personal logos, personal trainer sprites, drawings, trainer cards and mostly any image that would only be used in the User: namespace and have no encyclopedic value to Bulbagarden and its affiliates. Please tag these with the {{i-Personal}} template for easier organization. Under no circumstance should a photograph of one's self ever be uploaded onto Bulbagarden Archives.
  • In addition, please upload images with meaningful names. Names that are just numbers, for example, do not describe anything about the image, and can make it difficult for searchers. Names are just as important as licenses and categories, so make them descriptive. Please be sure that the filenames contain alphanumeric characters only.
  • Due to the many automated templates used on the wiki, lowercase extensions are imperative. That means jpg and png instead of JPG and PNG. It looks cleaner, it works better, and it does not cause any problems. Make sure to always use lowercase extensions.
  • If you're confused about the requirements for uploading files, have a look at this guide.
Thank you, and have a good time uploading here!

Since you seem to be uploading maps, perhaps this template may be of use to you:

{{regionmap|Southern Island|Hoenn|RSE}}

Thanks! Tempest370 11:36, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
Please use lowercase extensions for filenames, and use Category:Game maps for the maps you are uploading. Thanks. Jellotalk 14:40, 21 August 2010 (UTC)
Sure. :)Tempest370 14:43, 21 August 2010 (UTC)
Just another reminder to use [[Category:Game maps]] for the maps you are uploading. Thanks. Jellotalk 20:19, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
By maps you mean the in-game maps of the entire regions or the screenshots of routes, cities, caves?Tempest370 06:28, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
Anything that you're creating using multiple screenshots put together, should use that category. Jellotalk 06:45, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
Oops, I again forgot to categorize those maps. Sorry! *hides* Tempest370 19:36, 16 November 2010 (UTC)

Counter App file

I'll start this with an apology for the second revert. The cache somehow decided to make it appear like you had reverted it back to the 193KB file. Anyway, as for the meme; doesn't really matter if the number is 9001, 645, 2007, 2, or any other number that the Pokétch can legitimately display. What's important was that the file properly showed a working Pokétch, in a file size that was reasonable for a Nintendo DS screenshot. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 12:42, 16 March 2012 (UTC)

The cache keeps messing for me too, so no need to apologise. As for the pic, TTE should have uploaded all the missing Pokétch images instead of pressing the counter 9001 times. This is not Uncyclopedia.Tempest370 12:46, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
His time certainly could have been better spent, but it didn't really hurt anyone. Sometimes it can be a little nice for images to have a inside joke, or some other reasonable easter egg. We are community-driven after all ;) Anyway, thanks for helping to fill in the Pokétch file gaps! - Kogoro - Talk to me - 12:50, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
