Welcome to the Bulbagarden Archives, TrainerThomas45!

Thank you for joining our community! By creating your account you are now able to upload images to support Bulbapedia and Bulbagarden's other projects. This is a brief introduction to the Archives rules and resources to help you get started:

  • Uploaded images must meet several requirements.
  • All images need categories and license tags. Save time and fill them out as you upload.
    • There are many different licenses - be sure to pick the best fit!
  • Use meaningful filenames. Make them descriptive so that searchers can find your images easily.
  • Personal images are not allowed. Any personal images found will be promptly removed.
  • If you don't have any images to submit, you can still help out.
  • If you have any more questions, see the FAQ or feel free to ask a staff member.
Thank you, and have a good time uploading here!

Sourcing TCG cards from other websites

Hi there, I noticed that the Crown Zenith reverse holos you uploaded seem to be from card-selling websites. Whilst I acknowledge your enthusiasm to contribute here, it's important that scans of TCG cards we upload at Bulbapedia should be from our own personal collections, and not other websites, so please avoid uploading card images from these other websites in the future. If you have any questions, feel free to ask myself or any other staff member. Thanks! Thespeon196 (talk) 23:52, 7 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

Ohh... whoops... 😳🫣I just finished doing that section and I understand. So do i need to source card images i use from TCG official database or something? TrainerThomas45 (talk) 00:28, 8 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for your reply. Sourcing from the TCG official database would be fine if you don't have the card in your own personal collection. But yeah we shouldn't source from other (unofficial) websites, not least because we would need permission to use their images, and we don't know where they might've gotten them etc.
If possible, would you be able to reply here with the sites where you obtained the images you uploaded, and I can then put the source information on the card pages? Thespeon196 (talk) 00:43, 8 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
Ah, okay. Yeah sure! It's kind of funny though because I wanted to get the images from only one source. (Idk why lol)

Cheers for the single(!) website. Thanks for your understanding with this too Thespeon196 (talk) 01:03, 8 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

No problem, I know that a lot of people probably did this when they first started. I've done a little bit of updating pages on fandom so I know more than beginners. TrainerThomas45 (talk) 01:10, 8 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
