TCG Logos
Hi! Was curious on the source for these recent images. It's always interesting to see something so old get an updated upload, so the source would be good to have for our records. Thanks! MaverickNate 23:50, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, following up on this, would you be able to point us to the source of your high res TCG logos? Usually, such high resolution images are only allowed with staff permission (1920x1920 is the general maximum limit), so it would be nice to know where they're from. Thank you! - Hi! I'm taking high-resolution scans of cards with the symbols and then giving them to someone to digitally trace them. TwentyFour7mb (talk) 19:04, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for responding so quickly. Can I ask you to pause your uploads of these. High resolution scans in principle are fine (providing they are less than the 1920x1920 resolution), but the digital tracing of the logo is a form of image modification which we avoid here at Bulbapedia, as, per the manual of style, minimal alteration to scans are preferred. I appreciate this may be a little frustrating, but thank you for your understanding in this matter --Thespeon196 (talk) 23:09, 5 May 2025 (UTC)

Tracing TCG logos
Hi, as mentioned previously it is preferred that scans here have minimal alteration (see the Manual of Style section), and should preserve the original quality of the image, as it is a form of image modification. Tracing the File:SetSymbolTeam Rocket.png image as you have has artificially increased its quality beyond the original scanned image.
I've reverted this upload, but if you have the original high quality scan, I think uploading a cut-out version of that without any tracing or other image modification would be fine (keeping in mind the size limit of 1920x1920 too!). Thespeon196 (talk) 17:09, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
